Green clean light was blinking seven times, would not start or wash
I noticed a burnt smell. I watched the video on how to diagnose and repair the problem, The control panel had a burnt spot on it , I tested the fuse, which was OK. Video showed how to properly test fuse and replace control panel. I breezed through it like a pro ! And I hate electrical stuff ! Unplug unit first, and take your time. Although the control board was $255.00 plus shipping, We did get a $60.00 rebate on old one. We decided that the dishwasher cost to replace, was a lot higher than to repair the machine. We now still have a washer that is of high caliber. Thank you for the great video and the fast service. Have used this site before and will do so for any needed parts in the future !!

The fuse was found blown.
I found the problem when I found one of the torque screw partially out. The door was not closing properly. The heat blow the fuse. I removed the head were the control board is found and replaced it with the new kit. When you add the new fuse kit. It is needed to cut the old wire from the old fuse and adapt the new wire harness by stripping the wire . Then screw the wire tight to the adapter. And it's done. Also make sure to test the cycle of the dishwasher ,by timing it. All came out good. It's operational.

No apparent power to any part of dishwasher
Verified that the fuse was dead prior to order via an ohm meter (if broken, you'll get infinite resistance; if working, you'll get 0 ohms). I snipped the wires to the old fuse, stripped the wires to about 1/4 inch; I blew out the small pieces of copper wire strands that fell into the circuitry; replaced the fuse assembly then replaced the circuit assembly; up and running in under 20 minutes.

Dishwasher would not finish cycle. Left water in unit.
Removed front panel of the door. Gained access to the circuit board. Found the fuse and removed it. Installed new fuse along with the new wire harness according to the directions that came with it and everything seems to be working fine.

Dishwasher stopped working, 2" of water in bottom of tub, no lights on control panel.
Checked main house circuit breaker to ensure not tripped - was OK. Removed dishwasher lower kick panel to access 120 main feed (make sure main circuit breaker is OFF!) to ensure had 120 volts to unit - OK. Removed upper control panel (6 screws) to access main control board and main fuse. Checked fuse for continuity - no continuity, blown fuse. Continue to inspect main "Control Circuit Board". Found burn marks from over heating on main circuit board at 4 pin connector (tan wire that goes to one of the two door switches). Replaced main circuit board and fuse. Ohm checked heating element to ensure within specs (10-30 ohms) - OK. Cleaned up burned connector by removing terminal CARFEFULLY and cleaned with wire brush. Checked continuity/ohm's of both door switches (should be close to 0 ohms) and cleaned terminals at both door switches to ensure good contact. Reassembled unit, restored power at main house breaker, loaded dishwasher and ran unit through normal cycle. All worked like new! TIP - ensure main water feed coming from spigot is minimum 120 degrees, per manufacturer, as this will aid in shorter cycle times and reduce energy consumption. PLEASE USE CAUTION WHEN PERFORMING THIS TASK AS 120 VOLTS IS DANGEROUS!

No power. Thermal control fuse failed.
There is a You Tube featuring Steve from Parts Select. This video was excellent and I followed it exactly. The most time consuming part of the repair was taking my decorative panel off the door. The repair itself was very simple.

Clean light blinks 7 times. All lights work but will not let dishwasher start. Cancel button engages pump/drain sound but after cancel cycle ends, clean light comes on and begins blinking again.
For model number DU1100XTPQ6

Hi Suzanne, Thank you for the great question, when the clean light blinks 7 times this means that your dishwasher is failing to heat the water in an allotted time. There are a few reasons the light is blinking, but the first thing you can try is to reset the control board. Press high temp wash, heated dry, High temp wash, heated dry, high temp wash, heated dry, high temp wash, heated dry, high temp wash. If you don’t have a “heated dry” button, use the “air dry” or “energy saver dry” button. All the lights will light up, then press cancel to reset the board. If the control board doesn’t reset, you may have a faulty control board and the control board will need to be replaced. If the board resets you can start a new cycle and see what happens. If the the clean light blinks you can to reset the board again, some times it takes 2 or 3 tries. The most common reason for this blinking is because the water coming from your household water supply is too cold. The dishwasher is expecting 110 degree water to enter your dishwasher. You can try to run your faucet next to the dishwasher until the water coming out is hot. Also make sure the dishwasher is has a good water pressure. Put a mug or similar sized glass in the upper rack facing upwards and run a cycle, It should fill witin10 minutes of starting the cycle. If it doesn’t fill with water then the dishwasher isn’t producing enough pressure, this will cause the water not heat properly. You can try to take your pump and motor assembly apart to clean inside to see if this helps with pressure. You could also have a faulty heater, control board, or high limit thermostat. You need to uninstall your dishwasher, disconnect power and lay it on it’s back. With a multi meter you can check resistance of the heater as well as the resistance of the high limit thermostat. You should get a reading of between 5 and 30 ohms on the heater if it’s good and less than one ohm on the high limit thermostat. If both of those devices che

Hello the dishwasher has no power and the circuit breaker in the fuse box is fine
For model number KUDS01ILWH6
PartSelect logo
Hi William, Thank you for your question. There are usually only a couple of parts that could cause an issue like that. I would suggest first checking your door latch switches to make sure they are working correctly. You can test them with a multi meter to be sure. If your switches are not working then the machine will not register that the door is closed so it will not activate power to go to your control board. You should also check your wiring to see if there is any damage or burn damage on it. If both your wiring and your switches are fine, it is more than likely your control board that is the issue. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

What is the forward and reverse resistance of the thermal cut of resistor i get 0 ohms bother ways is this correct
For model number Gu2500xtpb
PartSelect logo
Hi Anthony, Thank you for your question. I am not sure what you mean by tested it both ways. There is only one way to test your fuse with a multi meter. You touch the probes to the prongs on your fuse. Setting your meter to the lowest for ohms of resistance. If your fuse if showing 0 ohms, that means that the part is working and your problem is with a different part on your appliance. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

My dishwasher first symptom was burning smell. Smell like electric burn would start in the middle toward the end of its cycle. After many uses it stopped working probably. When I start it, it gives me number 2, the clean light is blinking and I can hear sound water filling it and then stops working.

I'm ready to replace the fuse in my dishwasher, however the inside door panel is a one piece panel with 10 screws vs. The 2 piece and 6 screws shown in the repair video. Guess i have to remove all 10 screws to access the control panel, correct? Please confirm... thanks!
For model number KUDSO1ILBT6

Hello Marilyn, Thank you for your question. Yes, remove all the screws along the inside door panel. Some have more or less than the 6 screws in the video, but the replacement is the same premise. I hope this helps! Good luck with your repair!

My washer just stopped working one day, it seems like there is no power because the panel doesn't light up at all. No lights show anything. I didn't use it much but it worked when i did, one day i filled it and it was just dead. Could this be a fuse problem?
For model number DU1050XTPQ1

Hi Lea, Thank you for your question. There are some parts that you will need to check to see which ones are causing the issue. You will need to check the fuse, the door switch, the circulation pump and motor, the high limit thermostat, the electronic control board and the heating element. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Hi ,thanks for answering my first question , i change the control board , and i reset it by pressing the high temp and energy saver buttons 7 times , the cleaning light keeps blinking 7 times . And after many attempts it works for about 25 minutes and stop working and it isn't dry , i have to reset it again many times . Thanks for your help

Hi Hussam, Thank you for your follow up. You may want to test your Fuse to make sure it is working correctly. You can do that with a multi meter. If that part is fine, it might be your control board that is the issue. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

The heavy, rinse and cancel lights on the display panel keep blinking and dishwasher doesn't start.
For model number KUDM01TJBS1

Hello Luay, thank you for your question. We would recommend testing the fuse, heater and thermostat first. If those parts are tested and are fine, the issue would be with the electronic control board or the control panel and touch pad. I hope this helps.

KitchenAid dish washer the i get no water into the washer. The control panel shows a line rotating like a clock.I removed the water fill solenoid put 120 v ac to it the solenoid opened and i let air flow through the valve, no clogs. checked the over flow switch closed switch did get continuity same with the door switch. checked the tco again i got continuity through the unit. how do you check the electronic control k3 relay and the electronic control q3 triac. they are the only two items left in the fill wiring diagram
For model number KUDS01IJBS0
PartSelect logo
Hi Wayne, thank you for your question. Unfortunately only trained technicians can test electronic control boards like that. We have information on checking all of the other parts, but you have done your research well and have done the appropriate tests. The only thing that we could suggest at this point would be for you to contact a technician or your manufacturer to see if they can help you test that control board. It is quite likely though, that if all of your other parts are testing in working continuity and your wiring does not show any signs of damage, then it would be the board that is the issue. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.
