Key part to install ice maker auger
Part was not in stock and was received about 4 days after other parts ordered at same time. Part was easy to install and we now have a working ice maker that dispenses ice as needed.

worked great
I purchased the front dispenser bucket nut. It worked perfectly!! it has left hand threads... the original nut was damaged for that reason during repairs to the auger.

Bucket nut
The part was correct and solved the problem. The delivery was terrible. It started out with FedEx and was kicked over to USPS. It took ten days to receive the part. You need to straighten out your carriers. The video provided was excellent and the repair was a breeze.

The shaft on the new auger did the repair for the ice maker was too big for the crusher washers. One of the spacers is no longer available and an alternative was not provided.
Neighbor did the repair without using the crusher washers. Seems to be working. You tube video helped.
Remove bucket on a work bench remome to bottom screws, one top screw from ice shield. Remove front cover, then lift out part that hold the auger in place. then remove Auger nut JUST REMEMBER THE AUGER NUT IS REVERSE THREADS. replace new auger nut and reverse the above procedure. VERY EASY

Lost all power except light bulbs.
For the Main Control board: I took pictures of connectors and matched them to same numbered connectors on the new board, but it's hard to get it wrong, really. Since the old board zapped a hole right through the plastic sheet behind it, I made a new one with the original as a template. For the ice auger, I left the blades on the old, brok
... Read moreen one til I was ready to swap them to the new one to keep them in order, and used a new nut though the old one probably would have still worked. The clear crusher cover plate does wiggle on the auger assembly, blades and all. Just be sure to take pictures to remember how it all goes together. The trickiest part is removing the crusher assembly without breaking plastic--only use just enough force to release the claws. You'll have to at least partly take apart the rod pieces underneath. I cleaned everything with warm, dish soap water and some white vinegar mixed in. Some parts I put in the dishwasher. This a good time to clean the entire frig, too. You may want to also have new water line connector hardware on hand, too, just in case it gets damaged/leaks if disconnected and reconnected for servicing. Always unplug the frig first to start. I used a small, indoor/outdoor temperature device to check the freezer and frig temps to check when done to make sure it worked. Finally, it really, really helped having a "loaner" frig during this time!
A piece of the auger had broken off and it would not dispense ice
Did the job at my desk with your repair video on my PC. Step-by-step, I followed the video, pausing and restarting the video for each "task". Piece of cake. With your videos as back-up, I consider myself now an expert appliance repairman (I'm 86). What makes your videos different is that you show the "put it back together" process in as m

plastic crusher cover broke
look very carefully at the picture you provided in the parts fish, removed the ice maker tray and the rest was very easy ,i saved alot of money and time doing it myself.
I watched the "how-to" video on the website and decided that I needed to disassemble the icemaker first (before ordering parts) so that I could make sure I was ordering all the parts necessary for a complete repair. Good thing I did. I didn't notice the cracked cover and chipped nut until I had the icemaker all apart. I then ordered the n

It all went without a hitch and worked perfectly when re-installed in the freezer. **Note: I left the old parts out of the ice bucket while I was waiting for the new ones to arrive...taped up the gaping holes in the ice bucket with blue painter's masking tape and re-installed the bucket in the freezer with the icemaker on...so I could still manually retrieve ice out of the bucket. I left the switch on the front of the freezer door in the "water" position to remind me that I couldn't dispense ice. Water dispensing worked fine. The video is the key. Impossible to make a mistake if you pay attention.

To take the ice dispenser apart is not difficult. A ring removal tool would have helped to remove the auger. The Auger nut was difficult to remove and I used a visegrip to pull it off. Once the retaining ring was removed the repair was easy. Never did it before but figured it out.
I had earlier replaced a broken auger but a new nut was not supplied with it. Turns out I stripped the nut getting it off. It seems the nut is a LEFT HAND THREAD.I tried to make do with the old one but it did not hold.

It will not dispense ice cubes
For model number GSE22ETHCWW
Hi Tom,
Thank you for your question. If the ice maker is not dispensing ice, there are some parts that you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue. You will need to check the ice bucket auger, the dispenser door solenoid assembly, the dispenser door assembly or flapper, the ice bucket and auger assembly, the dispenser crusher cover and the dispenser crusher motor. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!
