The replacement bulb part #ps651484 is 20 watt yet in our service manual it recommends 25 or 50 watt. There are two bulbs in our model for the bright light and night light feature. Do we buy two different watts and can we purchase the bulbs at a local store

The two light bulbs underneath the microwave need replacing. Tried a Westinghouse 35w halogen bulb that looked right, but didn't seem to push in easily. And could not get it to work. Can you give me the correct bulb and part # needed to replace those two bulbs?

I do not know what the cabinet cover is or whether it is inside or on top, and how to remove it to replace a bulb. Thanks
For model number JVM3670SK06
Hello Beverly, Thank you for the question. The Cabinet Cover is the outside cover or housing of the microwave. It covers the top and sides. It is normally held onto the appliance with screws at the back. Hope this helps, good luck with this repair!

Will a g8 pin base work also? Westinghouse 20w dimmable xenon. Is it compatible with your bulb recommended?
For model number JVM1870SF02
Hello Sibbie, thank you for your question. The only bulb the manufacturer recommends is PartSelect Number: PS651484. Unfortunately, we cannot say that the dimmable bulb will work. I hope this helps.

The Halogen surface bulbs burned out on my over-the-stove microwave..
Extremely easy. Less then 10 minutes tops. Remove the screw holding the cover to the lights. Remove the burned out bulb(s) (they may give a little resistance). Carefully line up the holes for the prongs on the bulbs. Insert the prongs firmly but gently using the styrofoam holders the bulb(s) was/were shipped in so as not to touch the bulb(s) with your fingers. Replace the screw to the light cover. Turn on the lights and give yourself a pat on the back.

needed light bulb
The halogen light bulb took a little skill. The prongs were a little difficult to maneuver into place.

Do the research
Right part but I needed 2. I called to get a 2nd bulb priced at $17.00 but was told I would have to pay an additional 9.99 shipping. My fault, I know, I should have done more research before ordering the first one. So I went on Amazon and found a 2 pack for less than $8. So I paid way too much for the first bulb and will never use this company again. Talk about price gouging!!!!!!!

Replacement for GE above stove microwave lights.
Both bulbs burned out so I removed them. Looked on FB for replacements, they came very soon and I put them in myself. Instructions say “Do not touch the bulbs”and they go in quite easily. I’m a female, 76 yrs. Old. and very proud of myself. Fairly easy job.

Low wattage bulb
One of the light bulbs under the microwave oven burned out. I ordered a new bulb using the part number that was in the user guide for the oven. I put the new bulb in but it is not as bright as the other one. Clearly the bulbs that were originally in the oven are a higher wattage than the 25 watt replacement bulb. I don't understand how this could happen. I don't know how to fix the problem. I would like to have received a higher wattage bulb (maybe 50 watts). I won't buy another bulb from PartSelect. They are too expensive to have this problem happen.
