This is a 40W/120V ice maker assembly for your refrigerator. Ice maker assemblies are designed to continuously make ice cubes by supplying water through its valve, freezing it, and then ejecting the cubs into the ice bin. This ice maker is an OEM part that does not come with any other installation parts and attaches within the freezer compartment via its single wire harness.
How Buying OEM Parts Can Save You Time and Money
Why buy the real thing?
OEM stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer. Simply put, this means that the company who made your appliance is also supplying the replacement part for it.

The ice maker has been knocked loose. Tray & motor have seperated & are hanging loose. Need diagram or video of how to reassemble. Thank you for any help you can give.
For model number RF217ACPN
Hello Janene, Thank you for your inquiry. We have found the following repair instructions for you. To replace the ice maker assembly, start by unplugging the refrigerator. Open up the freezer and take the drawer out by pushing the rails back towards the handle on each side and life up the drawer and pull it out. Reach under and pull the cover off the ice maker by snapping it down and flexing it. Use a Phillips head screw driver to remove the screws that hold the ice maker to the top of the freezer, then pull it towards the front of the freezer and pull it down to free it. Disconnect the wire harness that holds it on by pressing the locking tab and pull the ice maker out. Connect the new ice maker to the wiring harness. Carefully rotate the ice maker around and make sure the fill tube assembly goes into the opening. Line up the rear mounting points and push the ice maker back so it locks in. Once it is back in place, use the Phillips screwdriver to reattach it to the freezer. On a new ice maker the cover comes with it, so once the screws are tightened, you can put the drawer back in, making sure the slides are in the original position they were when they were taken off. Carefully set the drawer in and make sure the slides go onto the glides and push the drawer back in. Finally you can close the freezer drawer and plug the refrigerator back in. Good luck with your repair.

The Ice Maker in my Samsung Refrigerator, Model # RF221NCTASRAA (with freezer compartment below the french doors) is just running water into the ice holding tray where it freezes. What could the problem be and what part number number do I need?
For model number RF221NCTASRAA
Hello George, thank you for reaching out. The issue is most likely with the ice maker assembly. This could be due to a malfunctioning ice maker motor or control module that fails to advance the cycle after filling. In this model, the recommended replacement part is part number PS5575313, which includes the ice mold and control components. Before replacing the part, it’s also a good idea to check that the water inlet valve isn't stuck open and that the fill tube is properly aligned. Replacing the ice maker assembly should resolve the issue. We hope this helps.

The ice maker in my refrigerator is not working all the time. If I defrost it or remove the ice build up-it will work for awhile. Do I need this part, or DA97-15217D? I can’t tell what makes theses parts different. One is labeled Assembly Ice Maker and the other Ice Maker Assembly- very confusing.
