Terminal block kits are also known as terminal boards, or terminal strips, and they are found in a wide variety of household appliances. Most often in ranges, wall ovens, and dryers. This kit attaches the power cord to the inner wiring of your appliance. If the terminal block is faulty, your appliance will not get the power it needs to operate properly. When removing the old block pay close attention to the wire placement, this will make installing your new part much easier. If you notice any of the wires or wire terminals are corroded or damaged they will also need to be replaced.

This part works with the following brands: Frigidaire, Kenmore, Tappan, Kelvinator, Electrolux, Gibson, Westinghouse, Crosley, Uni

This part works with the following products: Range, Wall Oven, Dryer, Cooktop, Microwave Oven Combo, Microwave, Washer Dryer Combo

This part fixes the following symptoms: Little to no heat when baking | Will Not Start | Element will not heat | Oven not heating evenly

Question:

Both elements stopped functioning: Control panel works but elements are either not being energized or are faulty. Examined the terminal block which looks brand new. Oven is not very old and has been working perfectly until now. Breaker reset has not corrected it.Other possible culprits: Thermostat? Oven is second unit: Ie lightly used since new. Seems odd both elements fail at once however. Thanks. Kim

Answer:

Hi Kim, Thank you for your question. If both elements in the oven are not working, it is likely the temperature sensor, but you will also need to check the electronic control board and the wiring between the electronic control board and the sensor. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Turn bake on set oven temperature to 400. It takes an hour to preheat. Preheat light goes out and beep sounds. I placed an additional thermostat inside oven. Temperature only reaches 350. Then the temperature starts to drop in one hour after pre-heat light goes off temperature drops to 175.

Hello Hank, thank you for your question. It sounds like the temperature sensor is gone in your appliance. The sensor measures the temperature in the oven and relays it to the board. You will want to replace the Temperature Sensor Part Number 5304504897. Good luck with your repair!

Question:

My oven won't start and gives a f1 code. All electric eyes work but not oven time, timer, broil or bake

l for model number fef379ach frigidaire
Answer:

Hello, Thank you for your question. If you are seeing an F1 error code on your oven there is an issue with the electronic control board. You can try to reset the board. When an F1 error occurs, the display flashes the code and beeps at the same time. Based on the information from your owner's manual, turn the temperature control knob to off and disconnect the power to the range. Wait 30 seconds and reconnect the power. If the code is still there after restoring power to it, you will need to replace the electronic control board. The part number listed under your model number for the electronic control board is PS977493. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Question:

I was vacuuming under my range and hit the power cord. Now i get power to the control panel when i turn on any of the stove top burners. I can set the clock but that's all. When i turn the burner off the clock goes off as well. No power to either stove top or oven. Is there a fuse or breaker i should look for or a code that needs to be put in when control panel is on.

Ian for model number GLEFZ384GCA
April 17, 2018
Answer:

Hello Ian, thank you for your question. I would examine the cord for any breaks, the terminal block where the cord comes into the unit to make sure the wires are connected well. It sounds like a wiring issue so I would suggest checking the wiring harnesses that go to the electronic control board as well. There is no fuse, or thermostat on this model, and I wasn't able to find any reset codes. It might reset itself when the unit is plugged back in after checking the wiring. I hope this helps!

Hello George, Thanks for your question. This may be due to a faulty timer, part number PS3650630. You may wish to test the timer with a multimeter for electrical continuity, and replace it if it shows no continuity. I hope this helps.

I turned the oven on to bake and heard a loud popping sound. The preheat and oven buttons light up but there is no heat. My husband found a burned yellow wire (attaches to the bake relay) that was burnt down below and he rewired it. There is still no heat. What do you think the problem might be?

Shawna for model number FFEF4017LBB

Answer:

Hello Shawna, Thanks for your question. There are a few different parts you will want to test with a multimeter to see if they have electrical continuity. Replace them if they do not have continuity. Check the bake element, terminal block, and broil element. I hope this helps.

Question:

My oven is not displaying any error codes, but when i turn on the bake option, set the temperature to 350, 375, 400 (really any setting), the oven only reaches about 110 degrees fahrenheit. It won't get any hotter. I can hear it "clicking" pretty repetitively, so it sounds like it's working, but it won't get to the desired temperature setting. I replaced the heating element and checked the temperature sensor. The sensor read right around 1080 ohms at room temperature. What should my next step be? What do you think is wrong? Thanks!

Matt for model number PLEB30S8CCC

Answer:

Hi Matt, Thank you for your question. If you have checked the electronic control board and the sensor and they are working fine then the next step would be to check the bake and broil elements as well as wiring between the electronic control board and temperature sensor to see what part is causing the issue. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Clock works. Press bake and arrow up, set 350, goes to 100 degrees to preheat, but never heats. Elements have been tested and are good, 220 has been tested and is good. Repairman says needs a mother board. Does it sound like the little block is what i need?

Marsha for model number GLEB30S8CQB
October 25, 2017
Answer:

Hi Marsha, Thank you for your question. There are only three parts that could be causing your issue. Your temperature sensor, bake element, and your control board (or clock). If your repairman said that it was your mother board that is the issue, then you would need to replace your control board. Good luck with your repair.

Question:

My mother has a Kenmore oven and the bake push button on the control panel does not work when you push it. The broil on low or hi works fine. Is there an individual part that i can change out so that we can bake in her oven?

Rebecca
September 6, 2017
Answer:

Hi Rebecca, Thank you for your inquiry. Usually when everything else on your panel is working just fine and your bake element is the only issue, you would need to replace your bake element. I would suggest removing the part and testing it with a multi-meter to be sure. Set your meter on the lowest setting and make sure to calibrate it to zero if you are using an analog one. If the part measures between 0 and 50 ohms of resistance, then the part is working. If your bake element checks out fine, you may have to look into contacting a technician to come and test your electronic control board. I hope this helps. Good luck with your repair.
