This part is the replacement oven burner igniter, broil igniter, or glow bar igniter for your cooktop or range. It is designed to ignite the fuel from the fuel lines and light the broil burner. If your broil burner will not ignite, it is a good indication that the burner igniter is burned out or damaged. Be sure to shut off the power and gas to the range before you begin to repair this part. This part is sold individually and is an OEM part from the manufacturer.

Easy repair and Refund Excellent!
I ordered the oven part and when I received it it was broken. But when I called the Customer Service Lady could Not have been more helpful. She took care of ordering a new part and seen to my refund of the first part. I received the second part and I had my oven fixed it 30 minutes. I will definitely use them again.

Great replacement part ... in ONE piece!
Prior to ordering this part from PartSelect I had ordered the Igniter part twice from GE... had previously replaced with GE part a year or so earlier and part failed again. This time around, the fragile igniter part arrived broken twice.. had to return and reorder. Took a lot of time and effort to get RMA and new order,,, finally gave up and decided to try someone else as Thanksgiving was approaching fast ... part arrived in one piece relatively quickly and installation went well... working fine so far. If it fails again no doubt will reorder this lower cost part from PartSelect again.

I am so disappointed 1 star is generous.
I ordered two (2) igniters. One (1) igniter arrived damaged, $70.00 dollars wasted. The other was ok. Installed the part which replaced an igniter I purchased from your business about 4 months prior. Obviously your parts are not made to last nor can a customer rely on the product shipped not damaged.
I am researching other parts providers who are more reliable.

Part arrived broke but Part Select replaced
The part was not properly packed and the ceramic glow bar was broke up upon arrival. I will give Part Select credit in that getting credit and getting a new part was easy and that is why they received the higher rating. The new part arrived in a box three times the length of the first part and the ceramic end was protect in it's own foam casing. Wish they would have included replacement instructions but I am mechanically inclined and was able to figure this out on my own, many would really suffer through the change out process.

Lower oven igniter tip burned open.
This is the 2nd igniter I purchased from your company. The first igniter I purchased from your company only lasted for 4 months. The parts your company sell have GE genuine parts on the packing box. Why would a new igniter only last for 4 months?

Our lower oven won't heat up, worked perfect 2 days before. Can the ignitor be tested to see if it is bad ?
For model number JGB870SET1SS
Hi David,
Thank you for your question. Based on what you described, it does sound like the issue is with the oven igniter. You can test the oven igniter with a multimeter. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

The broil function does not work on my GE Oven. After a bunch of internet research, it seems broil igniters wearing out over time is a common reason for this function failure. Is part #WB13K10043, the part to repair the broiler ignition?
For model number PGS920SEF3SS
Hello Andrew, thank you for contacting us. If your igniter does not glow or it glows but does not light the gas, then it is faulty. The igniter, part number PS231280, is compatible with your model. Also, check your temperature sensor, part number PS236490, as a faulty temperature sensor can cause the igniter to not glow. We hope that helps!
My bottom oven suddenly stopped heating (top oven works fine). Is there a way to ignite it or re-light a pilot before resorting to buying a replacement oven igniter?
For model number CGS990SET7SS
Hello Justin, Thank you for the question. Once the igniter is defective, it will need to be replaced. Thank you for your inquiry, good luck with this repair!

Whenever i turn the bottom oven on. It trips the breaker on my electrical panel. Top oven works just fine. All range tops work fine. Just the bottom oven does this.
For model number PGS950EEF2ES
Hello Chad, thank you for your question. We would recommend replacing the bottom igniter first. It sounds like it is drawing too much power. I hope this helps.

When using stove top burners or the oven. Strong smell of gas throughout cooking... very strong. New issue. Could it be the ignitor switch? Is there just 1 ignitor switch on this ove ? And if yes ignitor which part do we get for DIY?
For model number Pgs950eef1es
Hello Robin, thank you for contacting us. The issue is most probably related to a faulty ignitor switch, part number PS12582575. This includes the igniter switches and the complete wire harness for all the surface burners on the range. We would also recommend checking the main dual valve, part number PS8754814, and the oven ignitor, part number PS4704151. Customer service is available 7 days a week if you require assistance placing an order. Thanks again for reaching out!
