The black plastic grille which holds the vent on our over the range GE microwave broke. I noted on your site the part # ps4704150 is list3ed as a vent grille stainless steel located in the diagram as section 109. Does this part listed above include all parts in section 109 including the black plastic grille? Thank you

For p/n ps4704150 vent grille i only need the black plastic grille that holds the stainless steel grill on. Is that part available alone and if so, cost and availability. Third time i've fixed this in ten years

The whole part assembly is loose, like the mounting screws need to be tightened. I cannot find the mounting screws, do i need to remove the microwave from cabinets?

Hello Larry, Thank you for your inquiry. Since the screws have to be accessed from the top of the microwave, most likely you will have to pull the microwave out from the cabinet. The vent grill's plastic section had a defect
The part received was defective and I will have to use a rotary Dremel tool to grind down plastic that wasn't properly formed during the injection mold process. This will likely take several attempts to get it properly shaped in order to install the vent grill as it currently prevents the part from sliding left to right behind the slots in the microwave hood.

Broken tabs on ventilation grille
Original vent tabs broke off. Had repaired it by attaching it back with screws and two pieces of plastic on the top, which eventually broke again. Bought this part, which fit perfectly. NOTE: part did not come with the screws. I used screws that I found on the old ventilation grille which were attached to two aluminum tabs on the inside. These screws fit perfectly for the top of the microwave attaching to the ventilation grille without a problem. Looks like new!

Plastic clips hold the vent grille had broke off & therefore leaving this section unsecured.
Unscrewed the top 2 screws on top of grille , slid section to the left to release other metal clips . Place new vent grille , slid it to the right to catch the metal clips & then secured vent grille with the 2 screws at top of vent grille.

The microwave vent grill fell off. GE said this part was only going to last six years. What held it on were 3 plastic clips that just melted.
It was quite simple. Just a matter of fitting in the four groves and then screwing in four screws at the top of the vent.

Plastic in vent grill deteriorated in six years causing vent grill to fall of microwave.
Removed vent grill and replaced with new product from PartSelect. Three screws attach vent grill to microwave housing. Very easy to do, but not satisfied with original parts on vent grill uses by General Electric. Microwave is above range model and vents to the outside.

Exactly what I needed to replace stainless steel vent above microwave. Original had fallen off. Re-install was quite simple. Needed stepladder to confirm how vent was secured on top. Found 2 original screws merely sitting in hole slots that had a piece of original attached to it.
