Single Gasket Retainer Clip Specifications

This genuine OEM freezer gasket retainer clip is used on refrigerator freezers, and connects the inner door panel and door gasket to the outer door panel. The gasket is the rubbery strip that seals the space around the edge of the door to keep warm air out of the freezer. When the gasket is not working properly, you may notice an excessive frost buildup or reduced cooling. If the gasket is hanging loosely from the door, the issue could be with the retainer, or the clip fastening the retainer to the gasket, and it should be replaced.

Have excessive frost build up. Desire to replace casket & plastic retainer clip.Is there a video of the replacement process - how long to accomplish ? whats p/n of gasket & clip ?

Hello Richard, Thank you for your question. The gasket for your model under part PS425939 doesn't have a video for your model specifically, but the repair is quite simple. Once you receive the gasket, put it in lukewarm water and then blow dry it to straiten the gasket out, and then after you remove the clips and gasket off of the freezer, simply put the new one one and clip it back with the retainer clips. Hope this helps!

Old panel lid broken and brittle
Removed lid and placed upside down on floor. Pulled plastic retainer clips and removed gasket. Removed old panel. Repositioned new panel and reversed assembly.

Ordered only one spare plastic clip. Too expensive to invest in more. Luckly only broke one of the old clips.

Carefully pulled clips with small claw hammer.
