My oven and broiler didn't work.. i ordered ps470129 igniter and ps455532 dual oven safety valve from you. after installation of the new parts, the oven comes on but the Flame is too high and forceful. the stove/oven is lp gas. is there an adjustment on the valve to fix my problem or do i need something else? i ordered the parts that your website said would work by entering the model number.

Hi Dale,
Thank you for your inquiry. The flame that is emitted from your burners should be slightly rounded. To set the flame you will need to access the shutter mixer plate which is located at the end of the burner tube near the knob controls. You will need to turn a small screw on the plate. Slide the plate open or closed and then tighten the setscrew. For more information you will need to reference your manual. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

I have a Kenmore elite gas range. The broiler works as designed however, when in the bake or pre heat mode, the igniter glows but the burner no longer lights. I believe the duel safety valve may be the problem

Hi Art, Thank you for the question. The bake and broil have their own igniter, I suggest testing the bake igniter, Part Number: PS470129. Test with a multi meter and make sure your getting 3.2-3.6 volts AC to the valve. If there is proper voltage then this will be a faulty oven safety valve. Hope this helps!

I have a gas Frigidaire stove/oven. Need insight as both the broiler and oven will not come on. The stove burners work fine. I believe that tells me that this part works as i think it feeds the stove burners as well! How can i cut this problem in half and determine whats is wrong?

Hi Pete,
Thank you for your inquiry. I think that you should test your oven sensor to see if that is malfunctioning. If it is, it is very possible that your bake and broil functions will not work on your appliance. You can test your sensor with a multi-meter. I hope that helps!
