I can see the igniter glowing but the oven will not light. I do not smell gas when trying to light the oven.
For model number 79070402012
Hi Domenic,
Thank you for your question. You may want to check the temperature sensor inside of your oven, your igniter, and your spark module to determine which part is not working. You can test these parts with a multi meter to be sure. Good luck with your repair.

Igniter glows gas wont come on but can smell gas when putting the oven on?
For model number FGF316DSE
Hello John, thank you for contacting us. That sounds like a bad igniter or a bad safety valve. The gas valve will only open based on the power draw from the igniter, so it may glow but the gas valve will not open to light it. If you are smelling gas then the valve may still be opening even though the igniter is not drawing enough power, or the igniter is also faulty and not able to ignite the gas. You may want to replace both parts. Hope this helps!
Lp gas kit changed all 4 top valves flipped over gas ajust to lp. I think it may need valve for oven turned on oven, Flame way to high help
For model number FFGF3011LBF
Hi Howard, Thank you for the question. You have to unscrew the nut on the valve and flip it over to convert it to LP. Hope this helps!

how many ohms should the gas safety valve read?
For model number lfgf3014lwc
Hello Tommy, thank you for your inquiry. The resistance value for the safety valve must be between 0 to 5 ohms to be working correctly. We hope this information is useful!

Will this fit my Frigidaire gas oven? The oven igniter draws about 3.5amps but the oven Flame is very small and it takes about 50 minutes to reach 350f. The broil igniter draws the same current and it has a large blue Flame. Could it only this half of the safety valve only that is defective?
For model number CGLGF388DSE
Hello Chris and thanks for writing.
No, but dual safety valve Part Number: PS977703 is in the list of compatible items for your model. Hope this helps. Please contact us anytime. This safety valve is a dual one so it should take care of your problem.

Does this use the same safety gas valve and orifice for propane as natural gas
For model number 790.71202700
Hello Randall, thank you for your question. The orifices for liquid propane are different than the ones for natural gas. The Natural Gas to Liquid Propane Conversion Kit for your model is part number PS2351422. It contains all of the necessary orifices you will need. There are no parts involved with converting the Regulator, you just need to block it open. We have a video explaining this. Here is a link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2GScQhrgC3g. I hope this helps and good luck with your repair!

When I turn the oven on and I set it to 350 degrees or lower the oven turns off.
For model number MGF200PBWC
Hi Jorge,
Thank you for your question. If the oven is not heating correctly, then the issue is likely with the oven sensor, sometimes called the oven thermostat, and you will need to check it with a multimeter. When testing the sensor with a multimeter, the sensor should be tested at room temperature and it should be unplugged from the oven. You will need to measure the resistance between the two prongs at the end of the sensor connector. Replace the oven sensor if the reading is less than 900 Ohms or more than 1200 Ohms. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!
