What causes cakes to not cook evenly and burn
For model number Fgef3032mfh
Hello Grace, Thank you for the question. I suggest testing the Oven Probe, PartSelect Number PS11731755. The probe helps regulate the temperature. Testing the temperature sensor probe on your oven is easy. With the sensor at room temperature, measure the resistance between the two prongs at the end of the sensor connector. The resistance of the sensor should read approximately 1080 – 1090 ohms at room temperature. Thank you for your inquiry, good luck with this repair!

My oven turns on but still hasn't reached the 350 degree temp after 3 hours of preheating. My broiler element does not come on, is that the likely issue?

My oven has an element at the top and bottom and the bottom is the one burnt out. Will this element replace the bottom too?
For model number 79095423300
Hello Harry, thank you for your question. No, the bake and broil elements are not interchangeable. The correct Bake Element on the bottom is part PS439617. We look forward to hearing from you.
My broil element will not heat up. I have replaced the element and the switch infinite parts that you said would fix it and it still is not working. Is there anything else that we can check? Could the element be bad?
For model number LFEF3016NWB
Hello Traci, thank you for reaching out. We recommend that you check the broil element, part number PS439673, the temperature sensor, part number PS1528542, and the control board, part number PS5136200, and replace the defective part to resolve the issue. If you require assistance to place an order, please contact customer service. We hope that helps!

Broiler element would not work
First my husband cut off the circuit breaker. He then removed the two screws that held the element in place and pulled the element out about 3 inches and disconnected the two wires. The rest was easy. We were impressed at how fast the element was sent. We were told about 5 days to 7 days. The element arrived on the second day. Very please with the service and the product.

NO HEAT IN UPPER ELEMENT
NEED A QUARTER INCH SOCKET FOR THE BOLTS. REMOVE THE BACK PANEL AND THEN YOU WILL SEE THE TWO ELECTRIC WIRES GOING TO THE TERMINALS OF THE ELEMENT. DISCONNECT AND THEN GO TO THE FRONT OF OVEN AND REMOVE THE FOUR BOLTS THAT HOLD IN THE TOP ELEMENT. SIMPLY, VERY SLOWLY PULL THE ELEMENT FORWARD UNTILL IT CLEARS THE BACK AND YOUR GOOD TO GO. DO NOT FORGET TO DISCONNECT THE POWER TO THE OVEN BEFORE YOU START!
