Does this control the freezing up of the coils inside the freezer?

Hi Kenneth,
Thank you for the question. If the coils are frosting up it sounds like the appliance is not defrosting. I suggest replacing the Defrost Timer. This timer cycles the defrost heater on and off. For every eight hours, the appliance timer will cycle for 30 minutes. The defrost heater is what melts the frost buildup on the evaporator coils, and it can prevent your freezer from frosting up.
