This is a plastic OEM drain plug that is attached to the drain system of your appliance and is compatible with several different makes and models of refrigerators, freezers, and air conditioners. This drain plug is used to prevent water from leaking out of the incorrect drain system within the appliance and is normally removed for cleaning and maintenance. If you notice water leaking inside of your appliance, the plug may be improperly positioned or may need replacing. To replace, simply pull off the damaged plug and insert the new plug in its place.

Is this what i need to drain water out of freezer. Can i attach a hose to it to drain water?
For model number FFCO9C3AW6
Hi Jessie, thank you for your question. This part is a drain plug. It is meant to plug the drain. You may be able to put a hose to the drain however usually you would put a pan or bucket underneath the opening as you let your appliance defrost and drain. Good luck with your repair.

While defrosting freezer tossed the drain plug with ice and water into the sewer system.
Opened mailer and bag and place the drain plug into the drain. fit perfectly. In fact it is better than the one lost since the original needed a screwdriver or tool to remove the plug. This one has a flang or finger turner on it so that it can be removed. Also, does not interfere with items in bottom of freezer.
