My oven takes forever to reach temp, sometimes it sits at 150 for 20 mins. I can see the igniter glowing and can smell propane.

Thanks for your question. E08 means the oven is not heating. You will want to unplug the range and test the oven sensor, broil burner, bake burner, and convection heater. Replace any that do not have electrical continuity.

Hi my broil to toast veggies works but oven to bake won't heat and no fire. I was thinking the igniter it just stays black when i turn on oven to back. No glow but when i turn oven on i dont get an erroe code just a solid dot buy the 350° that i don't remember being there before. And no i dont mean the ° degree dot its a •before the digits. Please can u help?? thank u annette

Thank you for your question. Yes, the first part that I would suggest you test is your igniter to make sure that it is working correctly. If it is, you may want to test your temperature sensor next. The preheating in oven never reaches the desired baking temperature. No error code was given. All the top burners work. The broiler works. The fan runs. Just no heat for baking. What could be the cause?

Hi Janis, Thank you for the question. I suggest replacing or testing the thermister sensor, PartSelect Number: PS4240743.Testing the temperature sensor probe on your oven is easy. With the sensor at room temperature, measure the resistance between the two prongs at the end of the sensor connector. The resistance of the sensor should read approximately 1080 – 1090 ohms at room temperature. Hope this helps!

Dual oven, upper oven works with the divider in. Broil also works, lower oven does not ignite, manually with a lighter or otherwise. When prompted to preheat the ignitor does not glow either. Suggestions?

First I would say test your igniters with a multi meter to see if they are working correctly or not. They should be reading between 0 - 1100 ohms to be working correctly. The other part you should check would be your oven temperature sensor. That can also be tested with a multi meter and should be reading between 1000 - 1100 ohms. If those three parts are fine however, then the issue may be in your control board. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

Heat is coming out but digital temp. Moves up very slowly. Never getting to the desired pre-heat temp.According to dashboard.

Thank you for your question. If the oven is not heating correctly, then the issue is likely with the oven sensor, sometimes called the oven thermostat, and you will need to check it with a multi-meter. When testing the sensor with a multi-meter, the sensor should be tested at room temperature and it should be unplugged from the oven. You will need to measure the resistance between the two prongs at the end of the sensor connector. Replace the oven sensor if the reading is less than 900 Ohms or more than 1200 Ohms. If this checks out fine, you will need to check the electronic control board, both oven elements and the wiring between these parts to see which once is causing the issue. We hope this helps. My oven is very slow to reach the preheat temperature, if it reaches it at all. I had the oven igniter replaced a year and a half ago when this occurred. Could it be the same thing? How can i tell if it needs to be replaced?

Oven not heating and holding temp
The Samsung stove I have has had the igniter replaced several times. It seems to wear out over a couple years time. I did the repair with a Philips #2 screw driver. Open the oven door, remove the grates. unscrew the bottom cover and expose the heat shield. Unscrew the heat shield. This exposes the burner. Unscrew the burner from the center of the plate/lower heat shield. Unscrew the burner from the front and back of the oven. Carefully lift up the burner to expose the igniter and clip. Unscrew the igniter from the burner and set the burner aside. Unclip the igniter from the power cable. If it falls below, it won't go far just reach in a lift it back up to fasten the new igniter to the power clip. Refasten to the burner with new clips and screws provided. Re-insert the burner to the gas jet that is below the bottom plate which will not be visible to you unless you place your head towards the rear of the stove and look down. Once the Jet is back into the hole of the burner, re fasten it to the middle back and front of the stove. Replace the covers and grates. Close the oven and test it. A new igniter does wonders. You can remove the stove door for a less intrusive install, but I found it unnecessary to do so and saved a step and time. I was done well under 30 minutes.
1) Remove oven door 2) Remove oven floor with Phillips screwdriver. 3) Remove igniter with screwdriver and wrench 4) Remove bottom burner 5) Install new igniter to burner 6) Replace burner 7) Replace oven floor 8) Replace oven door 9) Test
