When I set oven to preheat 350, the digital display registers 350 and beeps signaling preheat temperature has been reached, however, oven internal temperature is only 125-150. Continuity is good on the bake element, I’m thinking sensor (thermistor ftq386). I’d appreciate your thoughts. Thanks

Hi DM, Thank you for the question. I suggest testing the oven sensor.Testing the temperature sensor probe on your oven is easy. With the sensor at room temperature, measure the resistance between the two prongs at the end of the sensor connector. The resistance of the sensor should read approximately 1080 – 1090 ohms at room temperature. Hope this helps!

Control panel (touch pad) unable to use any of the functions push them but nothing happens. The screen shows se tried unplugging for 30 seconds or longer with no results.
For model number NX583GOVBSR
Hello Terry, thank you for your question. The SE code is in relation to a shorted, or stuck touch panel key. Open the control console and make sure that the wire harness is plugged into the oven electronic control board properly. Check the wire harness for damage. If the wire harness is okay, replace the control panel. If the problem persists, replace the electronic control board. I hope this helps!

The oven gets hot quickly and goes way over the temperature requested. Can't bake anything. Preheated oven at 175 and it went to way over 400 in less than 5 minutes. What part do i need to order please.
For model number Samsung NE59J7630SG
Hello, thank you for your question! Most often when an oven is heating far past what it should be, it is an indication of a faulty oven sensor, or thermistor. We would recommend testing that for proper continuity with a multimeter. If that is testing properly, we recommend checking your elements to ensure there is no damage to them, as that can occasionally cause the part to malfunction and heat higher than intended. We hope this helps!

I tested the sensor-thermistor and it reads 1078 ohms. Is that acceptable? I saw a post that it should be between 1080-1090 when the digital read out by the buttons says it is at 350 it really was only 240 inside and after checking it every 20 min for over an hour the hottest it got was 345. 20 min after the oven said it was at the 350 temp the temp gauge i put inside only says 325. 20 min later it was at 345 and 20 min after that it was at 345 still

Hello Steve, Thank you for your inquiry. If the sensor was tested at room temperature, then yes 1078 ohms is acceptable. I would advise you to check your control board as well. Hope this helps!

After the self clean, the oven door will not unlock, have tried all the suggested remedies. Would this be a thermo-sensor issue?
For model number NX58F5500SS
Hello Larry, thank you for your question. If the door will not unlock at the end of the clean cycle then you may have a problem with the oven temperature sensor. Most electronic control ovens will display a fault code to indicate that the sensor has failed. If you suspect that the sensor is at fault, you should first remove the power to the oven for a few moments and then reconnect. This may reset the control and allow you to unlock the door. If you still cannot unlock the door, then you can check the oven temperature sensor from the back of the unit. Remove power again and also remove the back panel. Locate the oven temperature sensor wire harness connector and unplug. You can check the resistance of the sensor with a multi-meter. If the sensor has failed, you can connect a new one to the harness connector temporarily, reconnect power and operate the door unlock function. With the door open you can then replace the sensor. If the sensor is tested and is not faulty, the issue is most likely the door lock mechanism itself. If you suspect that the door lock/motor assembly is at fault then you will need to unlock the door manually. The assembly is normally located between the main top and the oven and can only be accessed by raising the main top. This is very difficult to do because the screws that hold the top in place are inaccessible with the door closed. If the assembly cannot be accessed then you will have to form a wire hook,(coat hanger) and insert it between the door and the latch and manually pull the latch to the open position. Remove power to the oven before attempting this procedure and be careful not to damage the finish. I hope this information helps. Good luck with your repair!

My gas range's oven will not turn on. The broiler works tho. How to test oven tmp controller?
For model number NX58H9500WS
Hi Danae, Thank you for your question. In order to test the oven temperature control, you will need to use a multimeter. If you are unfamiliar with a multimeter, there are videos on YouTube that you can reference on how to use one. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

I see the ignitor glow. I hear the oven ignite. I few seconds later burner goes off and ignitor is not glowing. It is cycling constantly.
For model number NX58H9500
Hello Chris, thank you for your question. A few things could cause this issue. A malfunctioning flame sensor will not detect the flame, and so will not open the gas line to keep the burner going. A partial blockage in the gas line may allow the burner to light but will not provide enough fuel to keep it lit. Also, if your pressure switch detects that your system venting pressure is off, it will shut down your heating system to prevent it from venting poisonous gas into your home. We recommend contacting a professional to inspect your gas line. Good luck with your repair.

Our oven sometimes starts up with a loud whoosh, we smell gas when that happens. Once the oven reaches temperature, the igniter cycles off after about 10 minutes at correct temperature (assume normal). However, when igniter cycles back on, the oven does not re-heat, despite the igniter staying on; the temperature drops and the smell of gas persists until we shut oven off.
