Microwave would not start when door closed. Sometimes you could push in or jiggle door and it would work for awhile and then it woud stop again. I knew it eas a door switch issue but wasn't certain which of the 3 or the body latch itself.
I removed the body latch assembly and found the bottom micro switch (NC) terminal burnt and loose. I replaced and working perfectly fine now. Easy diagnose and easy repair.

Door won’t close. The key is not broken. It’s the part around the door that the other end of the spring attaches to that i need.
For model number ME18H704SFS
Hello Susan, thank you for writing. If it is not the Door Key, part number PS4229162 for your microwave that it is broken, then it has to be a part of the Door Assembly that you are looking for. Sadly it is discontinued. You will need to reach out to Samsung directly for a substitution part number. Please feel free to get back in touch with us if they provide you with one. Thank you!
