When I open door microwave starts to run by it self.When door is closed it stops . What could cause it start by it self with no buttons pushed as door is opened

Hi Doug, Thank you for the question. This is caused by a defective micro door switch. The appliance has one of Part Number: PS4225460 and two Part Number: PS4131192. These switches are located in the door latch assembly. They tell the appliance when the door is open and closed and when it is ok to run. I suggest replacing the switches. Hope this helps!

I can not close the door of microwave. It seems to me that electronic lock has a problem.

Just replaced a broken door handle, but when I re-attached the door, the microwave turns on by itself when the door is shut. There is no indication that there is any rf energy going out, just the fan and the tray rotation.
