This is a 120 volt, 60 hertz drain pump assembly for a washing machine. It is a genuine OEM part. This pump helps expel water from the washing machine, and is activated after the spin speed is maintained for a specific period of time during the spin cycle. You may need to replace the pump assembly if your washer is not draining properly; it could be clogged or damaged. Be sure to disconnect the water supply and power to your appliance before repairing. This part is located at the rear of the washer behind the back panel.

In the end it worked
The part itself was fine and worked great and is still working. The video that was sent in my order email confirmation was for a rear placement pump where ours is placed in the front. It would’ve been helpful to have the correct video showing us how to take the old one out and put the new one in but we went on YouTube and were able to find one for our washer.

Correct Part at a Fair Price
The OEM part was shipped and received within a few days. The only negative about the experience was the incorrect video provided by PartSelect showing the install of the pump. Rather than accessing the old pump from the back panel as shown, the whole front of the machine needed to be removed including the control panel to get to the drain pump. The job took about 3 hours versus 30 minutes as the video shows. Suggest that a link be provided to other types of Samsung machines that use this pump. Some time could have been saved by not taking the back panel off to begin with.

Code indicating washer was NOT discharging water
Watched the video, procedure was simple and as depicted on the video. Started by using a wet shop Vac to the discharge hose and sucked as much dirty wash water out as possible. Removed the pump, and found the motor did not turn freely. Removed the motor (3 screws) and replaced the motor with new part. Reassembled the washer, everything wor

Checked the Filter /Cleanout and found it completely packed with MUD. Cleaned that out, and again disassembled the washer. The pump was removed and the remaining muddy gunk was cleaned from the impeller. The 3 drain lines that attached to the pump were inspected for blockage/obstruction and flushed of any muddy residue. Reassembly was quick and easy, and the washer has worked well since. I have no idea how the dirt got into the system with enough dirt to gunk up the system. Recommend keeping more frequent inspections of the cleanout trap.

Showing code nd after cleaning out pump. Is there a reset or celebrating that i need to do?
For model number WF328AAW/XAA
Hello Amy, Thank you for your inquiry. The ND error code indicates will not drain. To try a reset, unplug the washer or turn it off at the breaker for 5-10 minutes. Check the washer drain path for a clog or restriction. Make sure the hose is not kinked. Clear the large item filter in the drain pump. If the drain pump is defective or damaged, replace it. You can test the pump with a multimeter. If you are unfamiliar with how a multimeter functions, there are YouTube videos available to assist you. Hope this helps!

Error code nd came up. Looked it up online and found a tutorial on drainage pump. Pulled drainage pump out according to tutorial. Checked for obstruction in the drainage pump, drainage hose and drainage hose from the drum. Didn't find anything. Reinstalled pump, front loader was running again until 11 min left on the cycle and (nd) came up again. The same as the first time at 11 min left in the wash. I believe the pump needs to be replaced, can you give me some input on that. Thank you!!
For model number WF328AAW/XAA Front Loader
Hi Phillip,
Thank you for your question. The ND error code stands for no drain. So the washing machine is not draining and it will also not spin during the spin cycle. The pump is likely clogged and you will need to remove any debris in it. Also, check the hoses to see if there are blockages. Once you have cleaned the hoses and pump of any debris, reinstall everything. If the error code comes back after reinstalling the pump, it will need to be replaced. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

My Samsung washer is not draining (nd code) and it's making a weird crunchy noise. I disconnected power for 10 minutes reconnect still nd code. I checked the drain hose and the drain to the sewer pipe both fine. Plus I drained the tank manually but there's still a bit of water in the tube. I'm afraid of taking the hose connected to the pump & water spewing out. I was told there's emergency filter hose which is smaller that needs to be checked for clogs also but there are no video for top load or picture. How do I do it correctly on a top load washer? And is this the right part for my washer (wa5471abwxxa)? Please help,it will be greatly appreciated.
For model number WA5471ABWXAA
Hello Ivy, Thank you for contacting us. I have researched the model you have provided and have found the part you are looking for is PartSelect Number: PS4204638. Very sorry but I am not showing a part listed or heard of an emergent drain hose. When you do the repair you will need to remove the back panel of the appliance and you will see the pump in the bottom corner. You will need to put some towels down for any water that will come from the hose and tub. Thank you for your inquiry, good luck with this repair!

This pump has different electrical connections than my original but says the web says this is the correct replacement. Also can you confirm what the correct replacement for the drain pump case is? My original part number is DC61-02496A. Thank you.

Hello Brian, thank you for your question. We would suggest the pump, part number PS4217077, and the pump case, part number PS4206672. We hope this helps.
I replaced both items you recommended to rear a no drain issue , the sensor and the drain pump assembly and the problem isn't fixed . There is no clog in the drain either . What else could it be . I just don't here it click and start draining
For model number WF323aaw/xaa
Hi Nadia,
Thank you for your question. If your washer is not draining and you have already replaced the sensor and the drain pump, there are some other parts that you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue. You will need to check the lid lock and the electronic control board. We have included a link that you may reference on how to check these parts. Once you have determined the part you need, please feel free to call customer service. We are open 7 days a week and anyone will be happy to assist you. We look forward to hearing from you!
Is this DC31-00054A drain pump part right for my Samsung washer model? Is there any video showing how this can be installed? Thank you!

Hello Peter, thank you for your inquiry. The drain pump you mentioned is not compatible with your model. The compatible drain pump is part number PS12592830. You can watch the video attached to get help with the installation; it is not of the same exact module but should install similarly. We hope this information is useful!
