The knob stayed in my hand when I pulled it to start the washer.
First the part arrived withing 2 days! I used pliers to pull the old knob assembly (minus the knob which had broken off) left in there. I inserted the new one and turned it and voila! Less than 3 minutes. My washer can be used again. And, as I am an old lady with arthritic fingers and could do this so fast, anyone can do it.

Washer setting timer switch knob broke
simply grasped the remaining segment of the switch with the pilers and turned it counter clockwise and once removed threaded the new one on.

Knob came off in my wife's hand when starting a load
It took a few minutes on inspection to figure out I needed some bent-nose pliers to grip the inner black plastic knob and unscrew it from the threaded spindle.

Timer Knob Broke Off
I didn't know how to get the part still in the washer slot from which the timer knob broke off. Thanks to other people documenting on how to do it, I was able to use pliers to unscrew the anchor part and easily replace it following their directions. Took less than 2 minutes.

Timer knob popped out of the assembly, spring and all.

Old knob assembly broken.
1 - Removed the remaining part of the old knob assembly by grabbing the thin rim with needlenose pliers and twisting to rotate counterclockwise.
2 - Placed new assembly in place and hand tightened in clockwise direction. The selector only moves clockwise, so it isn't necessary to use tools to tighten the assembly.

Timer Knob was broken
Used pliers to grab the bolt and turned left to remove piece. Screwed on new piece to the right without pliers - THAT SIMPLE!!!! I
Unscrewed old knob with pliers and and screwed on new knob. Repair was very easy.

Timer assembly broken, could not turn on washer
No tools necessary. Simply turn old knob to the left or counter clockwise and it will disengage. Slip on the new part and turn to right or clockwise until it is tight. 2 minute project.

I am fixing to replace the timer knob on my friends front loader.The white part of the knob has broken off and will come off in their hand and the black part that was attached to the white part is still inside the timer knob hole attached to the timer shaft. They can still use the washer by pulling out on the black part with needle nose pliers,then sticking the white knob back into the hole and ,then turning the timer where it needs to be for the cycle to start,then it runs through the entire cycle fine.I have read where it says just turn the black part to the left(counterclockwise) to unscrew it and then just put the new knob in and screw it on to the right(clockwise) until snug,but when i look in there now(before i start this little 2-3 minute job),there seems to be a nut maybe that holds the black part onto the timer shaft? Does this make sense? Am i looking at this wrong? The nut looking thing seems to be larger than the hole in the black part with the little fingers on it? Is this a nut,or is it part of the shaft(all one piece)?

The selector only moves clockwise, so it isn't necessary to use tools to tighten the assembly.". The part is not a nut really, it is just screwed on to the shaft of your timer. All you have to do is unscrew it to remove it. Good luck with your repair.

Hi Andrey, Thank you for the question. We do not offer a video as of yet for this knob. Here is what a previous customer posted on how they installed the part. "1 - Removed the remaining part of the old knob assembly by grabbing the thin rim with needle nose pliers and twisting to rotate counterclockwise. 2 - Placed new assembly in place and hand tightened in clockwise direction. The selector only moves clockwise, so it isn't necessary to use tools to tighten the assembly.". The part is not a nut really, it is just screwed on to the shaft of your timer. All you have to do is unscrew it to remove it. Good luck with your repair.
