door latch was broken, door would not shut properly.
Used a screw driver to remove 2 screws. Removed broken latch. Installed new latch with the 2 screws. Works like new. Took about 5 minutes and fixed the problem.

to replace broken catch-door
unscrew the old latch and resecrew the new one. Be careful when you undo the old screws because the old screws are kind of welded in so you need a low torque driver to unscrew them carefully.

broken door latch
The latch is attached with two philips head screws, remove and replace. the reason i responded to this forum is to complement your quick shipping. It was sunday morning and i had just put 5 or 6 pairs of muddy, greasy work pants in the washer, closed the door and started it. Before i left the room, the noise of the washer changed, I turned to see the door open and water spilling out. The latch is plastic and it was broke. After a little investigation I discovered it had been broken before by one of my girls snd glued. The washer is 14years old and this was the first part to fail. So my wife found your site and we ordered two latches. They arrived at our house by 10:30 am on Tuesday. We were thrilled!! Thank you so much.

Broken catch on washer door
PartSelect is fantastic. Door catch broke on 3 day holiday weekend and given age of washer figured nobody would have the parts. Remove two screws; remove catch; install new catch (it only goes on one way); replace two screws. Very simple/easy fix.

the door catch broke so the door wouldn't stay shut causing the machine not to work
Simply pulled out the part that broke off in the slot and unscrewed the remaining part of the broken catch still on the door. Used the same 2 screws and screwed in the new catch. The whole proccess only took about a minute and a half.
