Sample Model Number Tags
Model numbers can be made up of numbers (1005400, for example) or a combination of letters and numbers (LAT1000AAE). The model number will most likely appear on either a paper sticker or a metal plate. Your appliance's model number tag may look similar to the sample model number tags shown here (model number highlighted in yellow):
This pin acts as a sleeve for the French door spring in a refrigerator. This is a genuine OEM part that is sold individually and works with the spring within the door mullion to seal the door shut. If you need to replace the sleeve, check whether the spring in the door is still intact as well. You will only need to replace one spring sleeve pin per door, as there is only one sleeve on the upper part of the spring. To remove the spring and replace the mullion, do so with a set of needle-nose pliers and lift the lower side of the spring to easily pull it out, then you can replace the sleeve.?

Door Mullion Spring on Samsung Frenh Door Refrigerator - BROKEN
Following the YouTube video - referenced in the PartSelect Website - First installed the Spring Pin on the Mullion - Then inserted the top end of the Spring into the SPRING PIN - then while holding the spring in place with a left hand finger - using needle-nose pliers in my right hand I manipulated the other end ( the lower end) of
... Read morethe spring into the receiving hole on the door .. DONE!
Broken Mullion Door spring-mullion remains open and must be manually folded in
Placed new spring pin and new spring in place with pliers-10 seconds tops. HOWEVER!! Your instruction video is INCORRECT. Spring must be placed opposite of video with bent side toward million otherwise million is flipped outward not held closed. Two frustrating days before I figured that out.
This company failed to get me the parts i needed. Wasted my time and caused a loss.
Called someone else. Got the parts elsewhere. Got the fridge back online 3 week longer than it should. got charged for the part then failed to send it. then finally allowed they didn't have the part in stock.
had to replace the spring on the Mullion door . the how to video helped however the demonstration shows putting the spring on in the opposite way that my door calls for, so just I turned the spring around and done, other than that easy as pie. thanks Chris F.

Lower hinge for spring
After purchasing the spring I realized the hinge was the culprit. It has the retainer for the spring as part of it, a small plastic piece that broke off cause the spring to get lost. The hinge replacement was a little more in depth but the video on the hinge is very good and on point.

Left side French Door flap on Samsung refrigerator didn't retract when closing.
OMG seriously! I stopped into my go-to appliance repair shop to ask about what might be needed to repair the problem with my refrigerator door. They said you will need to replace the Mullion Flap piece. Cost would be $250-300 with part, labor and service. I went on line to see if I could handle the repair process myself. I found a How to
... Read more - U Tube video and turns out I only needed to replace a little spring and pin not the whole Mullion Flap. Went to Parts select, ordered the spring and pin and did the repair myself in about 5 minutes. Shipping was $7 so I ended up paying $13 total.

I already received the springs for the door but i didn't realized that i also need the pins which i just ordered but how do i install it? They say that is a little bit more complicated. The one that broke is the upper one. Thank you
For model number Samsung RF268ABRS
Hi Denise,
Thank you for your question. Here is a link to one of our YouTube videos that you may reference on how to install the spring and the pin, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UpuXX86iFAU. To remove the pin or sleeve, it should pull out with the spring. If not use a pair of pliers to pull it out. To install the new pin, insert it onto the spring and follow the instructions in the video. We hope this helps! Good luck with the repair!

The spring on the left side of the door is broken . Won't close properly and giving the sound that the door is open. Should I order ps1463672 to replace it ?

Hi Jim,
Thank you for your question. It is normal for a little bit of water to drip from the spout when you are finished with it. If there is water in the dispenser tray, this may sometimes drip down If it overflows. If the water is continually dripping, from the dispenser after you have used it, then the issue, may be with the dispenser control, the water line connected to the dispenser or the water inlet valve. We hope this helps! Good luck with the repair!
I need the spring and spring pin for the flap on the door
For model number RF263AEPN

Hello Jim, thank you for your question. We have researched your error code and found that the issue is probably with the Evaporator Fan Motor, if that does not take care of the issue, then the problem is most likely to be related to the Condenser Fan Motor, if that does not help then the issue seems to be with the Control Board. We hope this solves your problem!
