The ice maker cube tray holds the water that comes from the ice maker during the process of it becoming ice. This part is white in color and made of plastic. All you will need for this repair is a flat blade screwdriver. Over time, the tray may bend out of shape or mineral deposits build up inside, which makes the ice stick to the tray. You will find the ice maker underneath the ice bin in the freezer. Use your flat-head screwdriver to release the tab holding the ice maker in place, this will expose the ice tray.

Ice tray had cracked and broken. The water is still not filling up my ice tray.
The replacement was fairly simple. I removed the existing tray and detached the water line. Once the water line water reattached to the new tray I inserted into the ice maker.
*** The problem I'm having now is the water is not filling up the tray*** Not sure what I did wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Not making ice no water comping to tray

Hi Dennis, Thank you for the question. I suggest testing the water valve for continuity,PartSelect Number: PS4146165. If the valve is defective it may not release water into the ice tray. Hope this helps!

My ice maker intermittently does not empty ice tray ; and randomly makes ice. I have hit the reset button and it makes a new tray of ice, however it will not advance to empty the tray unless i hit the reset button.

The ice tray just spins with the motor, does not twist and break ice out. Is this a tray problem or something else. Oh yea, found a small piece of plastic that broke off from somewhere
