Would this switch be the reason my ice dispenser lever dispenses water and not ice? I have 2 levers water and ice and both dispense water. My ice maker works but can't dispense with the lever.

Hello Gabriel, thank you for inquiring. Yes, replacing this Micro Switch for your model may fix the issue, but you may also want to consider the Ice Dispenser Solenoid, part number PS4163419. Good luck with your repair!

What would cause my ice maker dispenser lever to dispenses water instead of ice? My ice maker makes ice but won't dispense with the lever. What parts would I need to repair it?
Also, I have an issue with the refrigerator side interior light that doesn't come on when the door is opened. light bulb is good.

Hello Tom, thank you for getting in touch. According to our research, the only thing that can interrupt the ice dispensing and refrigerator light not working at the same time is the unit believing that the doors are still open, which would be a defective reed switch (door switch). Check the reed switches, part numbers PS4138745, PS4168985, and PS8761379, and refrigerator reed switch magnet, part number PS4144157, or the micro switch in the dispenser is defective. Make sure you still hear the microswitch clicking to ensure it is still intact. The water dispenser actuator is the mechanical part that activates the dispenser microswitch. It is normally a plastic lever that pivots when depressed by your water glass, and it may be covered with a soft plastic pad. You can usually hear a click when the switch is contacted. The dispenser micro switch is a momentary contact switch that, when actuated, will supply power to the solenoid on the water inlet valve. Test the switch with a multimeter. You will need to check and replace the micro switch, part number PS4138722, to fix the issue. We hope this sorts out your problem!
Does this switch activate both water and ice cubes. My refrigerator will not dispense ice and will dispense water.

Hi Ronald,
Thank you for your question. There are 2 micro switches listed for your refrigerator responsible for dispensing water and ice. The one you have referenced in your questio, and part number PS11712663. We hope this helps!
