I need a new black switch and parts for above. Can the one in the photo be installed in my oven?

Hello Laurette, thank you for your question. No, this switch is not listed as being compatible with your unit. The push button light switch for your unit is part number 74008246. I looked up the part and it is listed as No Longer Available/Discontinued. There is no part substitutions listed. My suggestion here would be to call the manufacturer and see if they can provide you with a substitution for these part numbers. Hope this helps!

I understand a defective door switch can prevent the oven door from locking when attempting the self cleaning. Can the door locking function be defective and the oven light still work properly? If not, what may be preventing my door to lock?

Hello Jerry, thank you for inquiring. This Light / Door Switch can cause this issue if it is faulty, but since the light is functioning, it is more likely the Door Lock Latch Solenoid. Unfortunately the replacement Door Lock Latch Solenoid for your model range is discontinued. You will need to reach out to Jenn-Air directly for a substitution part number. The push button for the oven light that is operated by the door. Does it have 2 wires or only 1 ? I think a wire fell off. Does this also connect to the oven cleaning circuit ? Thanks

My oven light would NOT shut off
Al lI had to do remove the oh swith & attach th e new on & push in place
It took about 5 min. to turn off the electric & to turn it back on.

Oven switch not working
Had to remove the glass top and the control panel and the panel bracket then use angled needle nosed pliers to compress the retainers then pull the switch from the inside of the oven

Range oven door switch need replaced
I raised the top of my Whirlpool Continuous Cleaning Canning Oven, then had to unscrew 3 screws and a lock nut, then raise top about 4 inches, so I could put my hand inside to unplug the wires to the switch, and push it through the hole in front, of oven. Then put the new switch through hole and plug in new switch. Then screw down top; and close lid. Part #866294
