Product Description

Vent Grille - Black Specifications

The vent grille, used in microwaves, mounts on the top of the appliance and covers parts inside the microwave without blocking off airflow. Instead, the vent allows air to pass through the slats. If the vent is blocked or damaged, it is best to repair the vent grille. To repair, first remove the screw that holds the grill tabs with a Phillips screwdriver and clean the vent area. Next, install new grill into the appropriate tabs and make sure to secure the screws to prevent it from falling. Refer to the manual provided by the manufacture for installation instructions and accurate guidance. Remember to unplug appliance from power source.

Vent grill was broken by a clean freak
Didn't realize this part had two tabs with reinforced screwholes in it. Those obviously had snapped off at some time in the distant past, and I had always removed the grille for cleaning carefully and washed it by hand and replaced it. The clean freak moved in and took this out WEEKLY and all the other tabs were eventually cracked and made the grille unusable; it kept rattling and falling out. When I got the replacement I noticed the broken tabs and replaced the item in a few minutes after removing the debris of five or six tabs and finding a Philips head screwdriver for the apparent screws (in fine shape, they were!) and tab remnants. Good fit, looks like new. Now hopefully the clean freak won't find my screwdriver next week.

The Vent grill on my microwave broke

vent grille was knocked loosesomehow. allthe holes for the screws were broken
Removed the screws from the damaged sections and replaced the new vent grille. Less than 5 minute fix, and saved me over a 100 dollars according to the quote I got. Thanks

The grill that was in place was sagging onto the microwave door
We visited our daughter and son-in-law for Thanksgiving. They asked if I could fasten it so it would stop sagging onto the microwave door. As I looked, I found the screw fasteners were both broken out and the grill was just resting in place. While Thanksgiving dinner was being completed I looked online, found the replacement part and ordered it. The amazing delivery... Ordered on Thursday and delivered on Saturday. It only took a couple of minutes to get the step stool and screwdriver. Then I completed installing the replacement grill.

Vent grill plastic parts broke off so it would fall off the mircrowave
Took screws off of old vent grille and installed new one. Very easy except my old one was a shiny black grille and this one has a matte finish. Description did not say which but I am fine with the part.

Plastic tabs broke and the grille fell off.
Removed the screws holding the broken tabs and thought the new vent grille would click right into place. I had quite a bit of trouble getting all the tabs lined up to click into place, but was finally able to do it. Then I just used the old screws to secure the new grille.

There may be variation on the part. Mine is May 2005 dimensions of the broken grille are 29 3/4 wide 3 7/16 tall 1 3/4 deep
