Oven heating coil snapped and would no longer heat.
It was so easy to change this out. Unplugged the stove and removed a couple of screws on mounting plate and pulled out the old heating element. Plugged in the new one and replaced the screws. Problem solved!

Dirty, unused range. Found rusted drip bowls and one element plug that had failed.
Unplugged the range. Cleaned the top of the range using Brillo pad, 1 inch putty knife, vinegar/water, 0000 steel wool. Removed debris and build up under the stove top with the same tools.
Connected the receptacle kit per the instructions that came with it, worked very well. Install the new drip pans, cleaned the elements, let everything dry, plug it back in and tested. Worked very well.

Infinite switch bad and receptacle heat damaged
Removed back plate, replaced infinite switch.
Replaced receptacle holder. Took a moment to see how to install wires into the receptacle, no instructions on orientation of wires into the receptacle. Wired receptacle per instructions. Placed receptacle into holder and installed burner. Burner Burner would not lay flat, receptacle longer than original. Removed receptacle from holder, plugged in burner and placed burner into position.

Burned out wires and 2 switches.
Unscrewed the switches and let the switch hang while replacing one wire at a time. Followed instructions on wire replacement. Exact parts, only shaft on 6" switch was too long -- okay, because it is designed to break off a piece on end of shaft, then the knob fit. Everything was perfect.

Uneven heating of surface burners. Occasional electrical sound (arching) when burner was turned on. Also the burner would heat up and cool down while burner when turned on.
Replaced all heating surface burners. We noticed signs of arching on the front left (large) burner so we replaced that receptacle with a replacement receptacle kit. Very quick and easy install (5-10 mins) using the short part select video on receptacle kit information page.

wire was burned off
I followed the directions that came with the receptacle kit very carefully. The most important thing to remember is UNPLUG YOUR RANGE FIRST!!!!!!!! I am an 84 year old great-grandma, and not a electrician , but I found the job very easy and enjoyable!

heating element and socket needed to be replaced
It was very easy, the element is held in place by a point that protrudes from the element's frame through a hole in the stove top. This hole is located directly across from the electrical socket your bheating element plugs into, under the stove top. Push the heating element in towards the socket and the heating element can now be lifted up and out of the burner tray. Remove the burner's reflector tray. Remove the single screw securing the elements electrical socket to the stove top. Lift the stove top up and secure. Remove socket and cut wires about 4 inces from the old socket. place shrink wrap over each wire and wire nut new socket to existing wires. place shrink wrap over wire nuts and heat to secure. reverse proceedure and test.

My oven doesn't heat at all. The clock doesn't work but all of the top elements will burn. What could be the causing this problem. Please help! Thanks
For model number WFC150M0EW0

Hi Carlos, Thank you for your question. There are a few parts that you could check. I would suggest testing your elements and your temperature sensor. You can test all three of those parts with a multi meter. If they are all working then it may be your electronic control board that is the issue. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

Trouble with burners on stove they will heat up to high when they are set on low.
For model number WFC150M0EB0
PartSelect logo
Hi Deborah, thank you for your question. Be sure to cut power to your appliance and remove any parts before doing tests. There are a couple of parts that could cause this issue specifically. You will need a multi meter to be able to test the parts. The first part you will want to check is your element. It should be reading between 0 - 50 ohms to be working correctly. The other part to check would be your infinite (or surface burner) switch. When you remove that part from the appliance, connect each probe from your multi meter to the prongs and then turn the switch to an on position. If you get no continuity then the switch is the issue. It could also be your wiring that is the issue but you should see visual damage on that part in most cases. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

Replaced receptacle and stove top burner, burner still doesn't work. What can be the issue?
For model number RF365PXMW1

Hi Earl, the only thing left would likely be the switch for the burner. Thank you for your question and good luck with your repair!

The stove top heating element heats up than it shuts off and than doesn't come back on
For model number Rf303pxkq2
PartSelect logo
Hi Merlin, thank you for the question. According to our research, there are two sizes of surface elements on the cooktop in this model. If your element size is 8 inches, we recommend checking the infinite switch, part number PS11740775. If this is fine, most likely the burner surface element, part number PS11747315, is faulty and needs to be replaced. Similarly, if your element size is 6 inches, we suggest inspecting the infinite switch, part number PS11740785. If this is fine, most likely the burner surface element, part number PS11753286, is faulty and needs to be replaced. We hope this is helpful!
