This OEM 10-Inch-long by 2-Inch-diameter slim white plastic in-line ice and water filter reduces odor, chlorine, and other chemicals without removing fluoride and its benefits. It also prevents lime scale buildup, which can be harmful to icemakers. It can be used on most brands of refrigerator that have a water filter that is housed in the interior part in the back of the appliance. This package includes the filter, brass adaptors, brass sleeves, and nuts. The built-in fitting connects directly to your quarter-Inch water supply line (shut off water supply before installing). It is compatible with either copper or plastic tubing. For optimal performance, the operating pressure should be a max of 125 PSI and the temperature should be 33-100 degrees Fahrenheit. To ensure clean drinking water and proper water flow, change filter every 6 months or 400 gallons.

How do i attach this filter in line?
For model number 4392949
That is a good question. First unplug your refrigerator and turn off the water supply to it. If your water filter is attached to a bracket, remove it from the bracket leaving the bracket in place inside the refrigerator. The easiest way to remove the plastic tubing from the water filter is just to cut it flush at both ends. To install the new filter put your plastic tubing into the inlet end and the inlet end is the one with the cap. Once you remove the cap you may see blue horseshoe ring remove this to release the collette. Then place your plastic tubing into the inlet end and then run the filter into a bucket. Do not connect it to you refrigerator just yet as you will see black water coming from the filter. That is the carbon releasing from inside of the filter. Once this is complete remove the blue horseshoe ring from the other end of the filter if present and attach the plastic tubing at the other end of the filter. Make sure when you are installing the tubing you are pushing it in as far as it will go. Install the new filter into the bracket inside the refrigerator and turn the water supply back on. Plug the refrigerator back in. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!
