Soap dispenser won’t open when running cycle. I replaced the spring but it still doesn’t open. What is the next logical replacement part or troubleshooting step?
For model number DUB8500X
Hi Kira, thank you for reaching out. Based on our understanding of the issue, we would suggest you check if the seal is sitting correctly, if the seal is out of position or has been repositioned, this can cause the dispenser flap to remain stuck. If this does not help, we recommend replacing the soap cup latch kit, part number PS382922, to fix this issue. We hope this solves your problem!
Hi there, is this compatible with the model above? I can’t seem to find it on the cross reference chart listed. Thanks

was just missing the door and spring
You slide the pin that holds the door in the first hole. then you slide the spring in next. The you slide the pin through the last hole. After that you gently push the door onto the pin till it snaps into place. And your done.

The dispenser door would not open due to a broken spring
Removed the existing dispenser door, took off old spring. Slid new springs on pin, got it situated between the correct parts of the door. Popped it back on the pin inserts. Twisted spring into springing action position, voila. It was repaired. No repairmen. No additional costs, fees, nor extra time waiting on repairmen.

Latch had broken on detergent dispenser cover
Remove retainer that holds door color slide in front of door & then remove the slide. Remove cardboard backing, remove electric latch release, remove latch & replace with new one. Open door & slide out the cup dispenser cover pin & spring & replace with new ones. This was all straight-forward & simple.

Dishwasher had no water coming into the bottom of it
Took the old one off and replaced it with the new one we received from you. It was great because we received the part just in time to do the Thanksgiving dishes! Thanks PartSelect.

Does its job
watched the videos from this site, followed along and got the repair done in about 15 minutes with nothing but some needle nosed pliers to help push the pins in place.

The part was just what we needed/expected, would have better if there had been instructions with it. However, we figured it out. Thanks for shipping quickly.

Door is still inoperative
The part did not fix the problem. The switch that opens the door is the culprit and it is no longer available

Complete kit is excellant But-
I Ordered and received the dispenser parts Kit as shown in the catalog for a DU7200SX0. The parts was received quickly and contained all the necessary parts to do a complete rebuild. However, the lever assembly turned out to be different than what is installed. I needed part number PS335181 or AP2903634 which is in catalog marked DU7200SX-2. The issue I stumbled upon is my dishwasher does not indicate that it is a -2 anywhere on the unit or the users manual. So it was my mistake in not properly identifying the part first. Now I know.
