Sample Model Number Tags
Model numbers can be made up of numbers (1005400, for example) or a combination of letters and numbers (LAT1000AAE). The model number will most likely appear on either a paper sticker or a metal plate. Your appliance's model number tag may look similar to the sample model number tags shown here (model number highlighted in yellow):
This white freezer door gasket is a critical component for maintaining the internal temperature of your refrigerator. Designed to form a tight, airtight seal around the perimeter of the freezer door, it prevents warm air from entering and cold air from escaping, thereby enhancing energy efficiency and preserving food quality. Made from high-quality, resilient rubber, the gasket offers long-lasting elasticity and durability. A proper seal helps prevent common issues such as frost buildup, dripping, and temperature fluctuations. Replacing a worn or damaged gasket restores optimal performance and supports the overall efficiency of the appliance.
How Buying OEM Parts Can Save You Time and Money
Why buy the real thing?
OEM stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer. Simply put, this means that the company who made your appliance is also supplying the replacement part for it.

Condensation inside at the top of the refrigerator. Freezer compartment icing up.
Repair was very easy. I followed the instruction provided by this site for mullion rail. The door gaskets were a simple push fit. but needed the use of a hair drier to remove crimps in the rubber. Overall excellent. The refrigerator is working and cooling well.
Gasket on the freezer door was worn out causing "snow" to form on the inside of the freezer.
I pulled off the old gasket and placed the new gasket in the existing groove, shut the door; problem solved!

Freezer Compartment Gasket Replacement
My freezer compartment gasket was torn and needed replacement. This was on a bottom freezer Kenmore refrigerator. I couldn't find directions for how to take the freezer compartment door off, and figuring out how was the hardest part. Here are the instructions: 1. At least 24 hours prior to starting, remove the gasket from the pack
... Read moreaging and lay it out in a warm area, to allow the creases to come out. 2. Unplug the refrigerator. 3. You will have to take BOTH doors off, so put at least the freezer compartment contents in a cooler so they don't thaw. Also remove all items from the refrigerator and freezer door. 4. Remove the refrigerator door first - remove the plastic cover from the top hinge, then remove the 3 metal screws holding the hinge in place. Lift the door up, and it will come right off. Set it aside. 5. Now remove the freezer door - there is one bolt head, for the top hinge pin. Remove it, and lift the door up and put it down on a table. 6. Towards the center, pull up on the old gasket, and use a pair of diagonal cutters to cut it in half. It will take a few cuts, but eventually you will get it out and cut in half. Then remove the old gasket. 7. The new gasket simply presses in. Start at two diagonal corners, then press the other two corners in, then do the straight sections. 8. Now replace the freezer door, then the refrigerator door, plug in the refrigerator, and put the contents back in.

Replace freezer door gasket
Removed door from slide bars with small nutdriver, pulled old gasket out of retaining slot, cleaned slot & area around it, pressed new gasket into place with fingers, relatively easy. Used hair dryer to make sure gasket was formed properly and contacted fridge unit eavenly.
