This part is a replacement light socket for your refrigerator. This model is white in color, and it has two sockets that will fit two separate light bulbs. The light socket connects to the power source, and the light bulb is screwed into it. If the light in your refrigerator is not working when you open the door, you could have a faulty socket. It is important to determine if the light bulbs are simply burned out, or if the socket is causing the issue. Be sure to disconnect your refrigerator from the power source before you begin this repair. This is an OEM part sourced directly from the manufacturer.

Replacing lamp socket in refrigerator
After replacing the lamp socket the problem I had still remained and it turned out to be the control board. The part I received was fine and the arrival of the part was better than expected. My lack of experience with this problem caused a slightly longer delay in fixing the problem so the next time I will know better. I appreciate doing business with you and will do so in the future.

Lights in refrigerator do not work. I determined it is not the bulbs or switches. So is it likely the light socket assembly. If so, how do i replace it?
For model number LFC25760ST
Hello Lou, Thank you for your inquiry. Open up both doors, take the light lens out by using a putty knife to release the tabs. Use a philips screwdriver to remove the light housing cover screws, then a putty knife to release the locking tab in the front, just slide it under the edge of the cover and twist it to release the tab and pull the housing down and out. Disconnect the wiring harness by reaching up and press the locking tab on the bottom and pull the plug off. Pull the assembly completely out of the fridge. Remove the bulbs to avoid damaging them. Turn the assembly over and remove the wiring and light sockets. Remove the grounding wire with a flat head screwdriver, then use a Philips head screw driver to remove the screws from the safety device. Once you have the screws out, take a flat head screw driver and release the locking tabs in the middle of the sockets that hold them to the metal plate by pushing them in. You can then remove the sockets and wiring through the metal plate. Carefully feed the wires of the new socket through the metal plate and snap the new sockets in placem you want to make sure that tabs on the socket go underneath the far left and far right side of the metal plate. Once you have the sockets in place, you can press down and lock the locking tab in on the other side, it is best to do one side at a time. Once the sockets are in place, flip the metal plate over and put the rest of the wires on. Hook the ground wire back up into its mounting tab. Re-attach the screws that hold the bracket of the safety. Put the bulbs back in, then re-attach the wiring harness back in (it only goes in one way). Then line up the mounting tabs on the back of the housing, and slide the back of the housing into place. Rotate it upwards, and push in the longer locking tab in the front and snap the housing in place, then re-attach the screws. Replace the light lens, back tabs first, then snap the front into place. I have included a link for a repair video for a similar lamp socket to give you a general idea of the procedure. Hope this helps!
