After installing the control board (part wb27t11352) and turning the bake function on, there was a pop and a small puff of smoke. The oven appears to have heated to the selected temperature, but there is a loud clicking sound that appears to be related to the thermostat that clicks about every minute. Is there an issue indicated by the initial pop and smoke, and should there be loud clicking often as the oven heats as that was not our previous experience. As this is the second attempt to replace this part, i would appreciate a prompt response as to this inquiry.

Hi Karen,
Thank you for your question. If you experienced a pop and there was smoke after installed the electronic control board and you are hearing a consistent clicking sound, I would advise checking the electronic control board, the temperature sensor, the bake element and wiring between them to see if the parts are working correctly and to verify if there is any damage. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

We experienced a power surge at our house. The clock continues to blink on my GE profile range and my burner knobs work and so do my burners. None of the touch pad buttons work so I cannot turn on the oven. We've unplugged it and plugged it back in but think the control board likely needs replaced. Other suggestions on troubleshooting?

Hello Lisa, Thank you for the question. I suggest replacing the Control Board,Part Number: PS3632395. It sounds like the Power Surge may have damaged a relay on the board. Hope this helps, good luck with this repair!
