This is a drain hose assembly for top-load models of LG washing machines. This hose specifically is used to allow water to drain from the tub to the drain pump of the washer. This hose is made of plastic and comes with two clamps to secure it within your washer, one on each end. If you notice your washer is leaking check to make sure if this hose is cracked or damaged, because it will need to be replaced immediately. This drain hose is an OEM part that is sold individually and will require you to disassemble part of your washer to replace it.

Part was as expected, just like original.
Part was installed on both nozzles with clamps. Loaded washer with clothes, washed and when washer drained the hose came loose and flooded my kitchen and wash room. This happened twice. I sent part back and ordered a second hose, it did the same thing again. Same location came loose. Flooded my kitchen again. What could be so hard to install 2 hoses on nozzles with clamps and it came off same place when draining. What a nightmare. Mike

Easy Repair.
A tube of adhesive or cement that LG recommends for proper seal would have been nice to include with order though.

right part but clamps to hold it in place were lacking
The hose was the right part but the clamps that came with it were lacking. The first drain it blew the hose off and flooded my basement again. A trip to the hardware store I bought suitable screw clamps and Flex Seal tube glue. I installed the part and waited the 48 hours. So far so good with no leaks!

Lg drain hose
This hose was indistinguishable from oem part. Super fast shipping and easy repair. I did use Scotch Seal 800 that many recommended as well as automotive hose clamps.

Not good
The part was a bit shorter and more rigid than the original. It installed easily and I had 6 loads no problem until the part worked its way off the clamped connection and flooded my laundry room and mud room and down into my basement. The tub on this washer really moves around a ton when the load sensing and spin cycles are going and the shorter and more rigid pipe didn’t move enough with it. Wish I bought the part from manufacturer. Do not buy unless you want a mess.

I ordered part #aem73213001 tub-to-pump drain hose, i had a small crack in one of flutes.Called mr. Appliance to fix it, he replaced the hose. Cost me $230.00. My wife tried to use it and the hose came off again flooding the upper level of our house. I was so mad i could have shit nails. Then he said he could not guarantee it would not come off again. He said it might have a better chance of it staying if it's glued on. So, what glue would you suggest i use? He also said i should use automotive clamps.
For model number WT5070CW
Hello Fred, thank you for your question. I would check with a local hardware store to see what kind of glue they have available that would work with the type of plastic. A plumbers glue would probably work. I hope this helps!
