This incandescent lamp is sourced from the original manufacturer, for use in microwaves and ovens. It illuminates the interior of the appliance cavity allowing you to view the food as it cooks or heats. It is typically located behind a panel or a cover inside the microwave/oven. Like any light bulb, the lamp can simply burn out over time. However, it is also possible that the lamp socket or wiring may be damaged resulting in an electrical failure. Before beginning any replacement, ensure that the appliance is unplugged. Remove the old lamp from its socket and inspect the assembly to ensure it is in good condition.
