Will this kit work on my KitchenAid ksrg25fkss04 refrigeration? When i search for the part(s) by the model number it only lists the individual cam pieces and not the kit as an option.
For model number KSRG25FKSS04
Hi Gareth, thank you for your question. Unfortunately this kit is not listed underneath your appliance model information so we cannot guarantee that every part inside of it will work for your model. According to your model information the parts are sold separately from each other. We would be able to guarantee anything that you find directly underneath your model number as being correct for your model. This kit seems like it would work, however unfortunately we cannot guarantee it for you. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

I apologize for my lack of knowledge. Will the parts in this kit work on a Whirlpool side by side model no. Ed2chqxkq05?
For model number ED2CHQXKQ05
Hello Richard, thank you for writing. This part is not shown as compatible to your model. On your model it does not come in a kit. There is the Lower Door Closing Cam part PS11739042 (the Screw is part PS11741512), and the Door Cam part PS11752991 (the Screw is part PS11742755).

Refrigerator door has to be pushed closed. Unlike the freezer door which closes itself.
For model number ED5PHAXMQ00
Hello William and thanks for writing. Troubleshoot the most common items that can cause a bad seal on a refrigerator door. Check inside the refrigerator to ensure there aren't any food containers, open crisper drawers or misaligned shelves that could keep the door from closing properly. ... If the door still fails to shut tightly, check the door gasket. # PS323906 if the gasket checks ok, then your cam might be faulty # PS11739045. We hope this helps. Please contact us anytime.

Will this door closing cam kit work with the refrigerator door of a KitchenAid model ksrb25fhtb00? I started to purchase just the door closing cam and the door cam, but it says you need a specific screw that is sold separately. I can't find the screw, but i found this whole kit. So i am wondering if it will work to buy the whole kit?
For model number KSRB25FHBT00
Hello Elizabeth, we do not show that Kit is compatible with your model. The Screw for Cam is Screw Part# PS11742755.

For model number KSRS27ILWH01
Hi Ali, thank you for your question. Your appliance does not have a kit of parts. You would have to get two of each of these parts: PS11752991 and PS11739042. Good luck with your repair.

I have a popping noise when opening and closing Whirlpool refrigerator door. Will this cam kit fit my model(ed5fhexnl01)? And is the kit for one door or both doors?
For model number Ed5fhexnl01
Hello Brandon, thank you for your question. That kit is not listed as being compatible with that unit. The cam that is mounted to the bottom of both doors is Part #: PS11739042. The part that is on the hinge on both door is Part #: PS11752991. Replacing those parts should fix that issue. I hope this helps.

When replacing door cam on door you say to drill and tap for the screw. Then when replacing cam on frame you say just put screw in. The cams are the same.
For model number KSRB25QDBL00
Hello Cary, Thank you for the question. Yes, where it is installed onto the door is different then the frame so it will require to be dripped and tapped. Hope this helps!

The door would not close properly. The CAM had broken.
The repair was very simple.

1. Remove the food from the door shelves.

2.Remove the door by first removing the three screws holding the hinge at the top of the refrigerator.

3. Lift door off of the bottom hinge.

4.Replace bottom CAM on bottom hinge (one screw)

5. Replace top CAM and shim on door (one screw)

6. I put a little grease on the cam to make it slide better.

7. Place door on bottom hinge. Remount top hinge.

8. Done and works better than new.

Main Door wouldn't self-close
After removing all the food items from the door, I popped the plastic cover off of the hinge assembly located on the top of the door. With a fine point Sharpie pen , I marked the outline of around the hinge assembly so I could return it to original position. I then loosened each of the 3 bolts holding the hinge on just enough to allow me to clear the pin of the hinge out of the hole in the door. Once the top was free of the hinge, I lifted the door off of the bottom hinge/pin assembly. My cam parts on the bottom hinge and door were either broken and/or partially missing. I removed the broken and worn pieces by removing each of the screws holding the top and bottom (of the bottom hinge assembly) cam pieces and installed the new ones using same screws. I then reversed the steps and slid the bottom of the door back onto the bottom hinge assembly and then lifted the top hinge enough to allow the hinge pin to slid back into the hole on top of the door. Positioned the hinge so it matched the outline and tightened the 3 bolts. I checked the closing and made a slight adjustment to door as one of the shelves was hitting the interior as it tried to close. I did this by loosening the 3 bolts and pushing the door up and to the right (this door was on the right side of refrigerator). Tightened the bolts and reinstalled the hinge cover.
Pretty easy. My door cams were a little different so I didn't use all the parts in the kit. My shims were metal and did not move when I replace the cams so I didn't use anything in this repair except the 2 lower cam parts. I also put some grease/vaseline on the cams to lubricate them.
I figure the plastic cams just wore out over the years and all the heavy junk we put in the door shelves. I lived with this problem about 2 years before it donned on me that it was probably just a plastic piece or two that was broken or worn out.

Door not swinging freely and not closing automatically
replaced lower door closing cams and shim and cleanded and lubricated top and bottom hinge. Took about 30 minutes. Hardest part was unloading the door and finding a place to put all the bottles and stuff. Door works just fine now.

The refrigerator door made a terrible bang every time it was opened.
The hardest part was unloading all the food from the refridgerator door! Once done, pry shroud off top door hinge, remove 3 screws and hinge plate. Lift door off bottom hinge. Remove one screw from bottom of door, remove and discard old lifter cam and spacer. Clean up a bit. Install new spacer and lifter cam. Tighten new screw firmly. Replace the lifter cam and spacer on bottom hinge pin (affixed to refridgerator body) using the same method. Replacing the door is easiest if 2 people do it. One person to lift and steady the door, the other has to lie on the floor and guide the door onto the hinge pin. Replace top hinge plate and screws. Snap shroud back over top hinge plate. Replace food in refridgerator. Close door. Done!

refrigerator door was making a popping noise when opening and closing
Not being a handyman I found this job realtively easy.I took most of stuff off fridge door, to make door easier to handle. I then undid top hinge door screws, 3 of them, lifted door out., replaced 2 cams. When putting door back on fridge, you have to make sure door is in exact position and top hinge is lined up exactly, or door will continue to pop a little. It took me a couple of times to get top hinge lined up exactly.

door would not stay closed
Removed the top plastic hinge cover, remove (2) bolts from top hinge. Lifted door up and off of lower hinge, removed both halves of door cam, replaced cam halves and re-installed door. Super easy and effective. Door now opens and closes (stays closed) properly.

Fridge door would not close properly and therefore was letting cold air out and wasting energy
Removed lower door hinge and allowed door to drop down and off of upper hinge. Replaced cams on both hinge and on bottom of door. Reinstalled door. Also installed light cover that had broken years ago, but this is a pop-in item and no-brainer.

Loud thud when door opened.
Remove all items from the door shelves. Removed the top hinge cover and removed hinge mounting screws. Lifted door off bottom hinge and laid it on its side. I then replaced bottom hinge cam by removing (1) cap screw. Very simple job.

door closing cam was broken
the process was pretty straight forward though the part came without instructions. We were able to replace the part improperly with ease. however, we were not able to get the pieces aligned properly for a long time. We ended up taking the door off many times to try to realign the pieces. After many hours I finally unscrewed the bottom cam while the door was in place. The piece popped into place and all was fixed. Had the part come with directions telling us to do this we would have replaced the cam within 15 minutes!
