Hello my dish washer stop working, the motor stop moving. How easy or hard to change the motor on this model.
For model number LDF7932ST
Hi Abdul, Thank you for the question. I am not able to tell you how hard it is as it depends on your skill level. First remove the appliance from the water and power supply. Next removed the racks, screens and impeller inside and then lay it back on its side to access the motor. Unplug the wire harness from the motor. A flat head screw driver may help.Unscrew and disconnect the single wires on the side, taking note of where they go. Taking pictures will help. Remove the screws holding the motor in place. Once the screws are removed the motor will just pull out. Reverse the steps to reinstall. Hope this helps!

Would this cause a noisy operation?
For model number ldf692ost
Hi Tom,
Thank you for your question. Yes, if there is noise in your dishwasher then the circulation motor assembly is probably causing it. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

There does not seem to be any water coming out of the upper spray arm. I took it off and cleaned it, it still does not work. The dishes in the top rack are not wet. Also, there is an FE code showing. Can you help?
For model number LDS5540ST
Hello Richard,
Thanks for your question. The FE error code indicates a fill error. The water inlet valve could be the cause of this issue. Consider testing the valve with a multimeter for electrical continuity and replace it if it shows no continuity. Examine the mesh filter as well for any signs of wear and tear.
I hope this helps.
I am looking to replace the full wash assembly, there was rusted metal parts and i had the le error code. When i checked for a clog i noticed the rusted bits. I would like to replace the full motor assembly not just the motor. What part number would that be?
For model number Ldf7811st
Hello Shanna, thank you for your question. The assembly would be PartSelect Number PS3579321. This is the Dishwasher pump and motor assembly with pump housing gasket. The assembly includes a turbidity sensor in the pump housing. I hope this helps!

LG dishwasher with an le error code, reset by powering down for approx. 5 minutes still get the le error code, could it be something preventing the motor from turning or is it just a motor failure?
Hi Richard, Thank you for the question. The LE error code is an indication of a Motor issue. The issue that may cause this fault code is a wiring problem, the impeller of washing pump is locked, the rotor of washing motor is locked, the blade is locked, or the PCB main control board is faulty. If you can provide the model number of the appliance we will be able to pull up more details. Hope this helps!

Is there a way to bench test the motor to make sure it is the culprit for my le code
Can i use a multimeter to determine if it is a bad part
For model number LDF7810ST
Hello Erik, thank you for your question. You can test this Circulation Motor Assembly with a multi-meter. Test the ohms of resistance. Any reading over 100 is a good reading meaning the Motor is in working condition. Good luck with your repair!

I have a hot electrical smell and code le on display. I can reset it and it will work again but the smell is still present. Water is spraying and arm seems to be spinning.
For model number LDS5560ST
Good Day Corey. Thank you for your question in regards to your unit (Model Number LDS5560ST). Based on our research the LE code on your unit is a sign that it has detected a Motor Error. Some of the most common reasons for this are the following: 1) There is a wiring issue and the wiring harness (PartSelect Number PS7790912) may need to be replaced. 2) The impeller on the washing pump is locked. 3) The Control Board (PartSelect PS8749407) has become faulty and may need to be replaced. We hope this helps! Best Regards.
Error LE is displayed. Do you think that the Circulation motor needs to be replaced?
For model number LDF6920ST
Hello Nate, Thank you for the question. The LE is a Drain Pump Motor Error. This can be caused by the impeller of pump being locked/jammed. We suggest checking to make sure there is no debris or damage preventing the impeller from spinning. If it looks ok, you can check the wiring for any damage. If everything looks good, the Drain Pump may need to be replaced. We hope this helps!

Whining motor noise during wash cycle.
The noise is caused by a defective motor bearing. The bearing fails due to water intrusion after the motor shaft seal in the sump assembly starts leaking. It maybe worthwhile to replace the entire sump assembly ( illustr. M007) instead of the motor only to prevent premature failure of the replacement motor. (Unfortunately the shaft seal is not available as a separate part).
Dishwasher was noisy. PartsDirect suggested replacing circ pump.
Relocated dishwasher to garage and set it up on a table (easier on back having it elevated). Connected temporary water supply, drained to a bucket.
Removed pump, and found it severely corroded, indicating leakage from pump shaft seal in sump. Inspection of seal revealed excessive wear, requiring sump replacement (there is no way to replace just the pump seal). I have photos of old pump & sump, but I don't see any way to upload them.
Removed sump from dishwasher with all components attached, swapped components over to new sump, reinstalled sump (with new sump gasket) and started dishwasher to check for leaks. The heater was the most difficult component to swap. Reinstalling the sump assembly was tricky.
Reinstalled dishwasher into kitchen cabinet.

Great Service
This part came in the time frame expected and worked great. However, my dishwasher still wasn't working properly, and found I needed an additional part. I ordered it from PartSelect at about 3:30 pm, figuring I would get it in a couple of days. To my surprise, I went out early the next morning and the part was delivered to my front door. Don't ask me how PartSelect got it there so fast. Saved me from my wife complaining that I should have called a repairman instead of doing it myself. Now it works great and my wife is happy she doesn't have to wash any more dishes! Thanks, PartSelect!
