This replacement door handle is designed for select LG over-the-range microwaves, offering a secure and ergonomic grip for opening and closing the door. As a genuine OEM component, it is crafted from durable materials to ensure long-lasting performance and a seamless fit with compatible models. The handle restores proper door function and enhances safety by preventing slips or misalignment. It is ideal for replacing handles that are cracked, loose, or broken. Installation typically involves removing the inner door panel and securing the new handle using existing screws, as new hardware is generally not included. Before ordering, verify compatibility with your specific microwave model to ensure a proper fit.

I pulled the door open and the bottom of the handle pulled away from the door. This seems to be a common problem for this model. In one of the responses someone suggested to just replace the plastic part that connects the handle with the door. Can you please let me know what is this plastic part and if it can he purchased separately on your webpage?
For model number LMV1683ST
Hello Sanda, thank you for your inquiry. The plastic piece you are referring to does not come separately, and it comes as a part of the door handle part number PS3535309. Before replacing the door handle, we would recommend making sure that the screws securing it are tight. Glad to be of assistance!

Can the door handle be replaced by the consumer or is this something we should hire a professional to do?
For model number Lmv1683st
Hello Kellie,
Thanks for your question. We recommend having a licensed technician install this part, as the microwave door can contain shielding components that must be tested for leaks prior to use when they install the part.
I hope this helps.

I opened the microwave door and the whole thing came off in my hand. It appears that the plastic backing mounts which holds the door on with 2 screws broke off. Can this be replaced and repaired without a technician by the owner?
Thanks
For model number LMV1764ST
Hello Rowlie,
Thank you for writing in. Yes replacing the handle is a simple fix with no technician required. We do recommend replacing the screws part number PS3534414 as they are probably stripped. We hope this helps.
I have two questions:
1. WHAT PART DO I SELECT?
My microwave model number is followed by a /01, but your site does not show this. The microwave is from 2019.
2. WHICH HANDLE?
I need a new door handle for this model, if the microwave model number I gave is correct.
=> There are two handle part numbers: MEB41909001 and MEB41908102. What is the difference between these two parts? Just the color or the configuration of the handle?
Thank you

Do I need locking mechanism or new door handle. Handle separates at bottom of door when pulled ? I think the plastic door locking mechanism but that is not what response was in question about door handle on web page. Could end of door handle be glued Instead?rpk
For model number LMV1683ST
Hi Rene, thank you for getting in touch. We would not recommend any repair hacks. Based on the description you have provided, the issue is not with the locking mechanism. It is most probably with the door handle, part number PS3535309. We would suggest replacing it to fix the issue. We hope this solves your problem!
