I need to replace the rubber (seal or gasket or bellow) that goes around the inside of the door and the clamp that holds it on. Also, is there another part i might need if the drum is now spinning wonky enough to wear the rubber? Or something i might need to tighten? Thank you
For model number WM2016CW
Hi Gretchen,
Thank you for your question. You have two different boot seals available for your appliance. One that has a drain port, and one that does not. If yours does have a drain port then that would be the one that you need, and vice versa. A drain port is a hole in your boot seal that connects to a drain tube. I have listed all three parts down below for you. As for your other issue, you may need to check the spider arm on your drum, your drum support rollers, and the springs that hold your drum up. Good luck with your repair.
I am finding pieces of a plastic ring falling from the outside of the drum. Also there is a lot of dirt of some sort that is getting all over the clothes. The plastic looks shredded as opposes to broken. Is this repairable?

Hi Donald,
Thank you for your question. Based on what you described, the shredded plastic pieces you are referring to is the bellow or door boot seal. During a wash cycle sometimes clothes will get caught up in the folds of the door boor seal and this can sometimes cause tearing or shredding of the part. You will need to replace the seal. Also, if you are getting dirt on your clothes, this might be a build-up of detergent sludge. You may have to use half the recommended amount to prevent this. Also if you have a fabric softener dispenser, a build up residue can occur and this can also get on the clothes. You will need to clean it. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

the parts arrived fast and were the correct parts for my model. The repair videos were spot on . I would suggest getting the spring spreading tool. It took me forever to to get those back on without the right tool. very happy with part select I will order again

Great part
The gasket for my LG washer was getting very moldy and could not be cleaned. We had to take all the pieces off the machine and then found we needed a special tool made by LB for another $25 to install the metal ring with a spring.
I think that little detail should be a part of ordering the gasket since it took another few days to wait for it.
