Do I need to hire someone to install this part?
Hello Jenny,
Thanks for your question. You can certainly install this yourself if you wish. Unplug your fridge. Open both fridge doors. Take the light lens out using the locking tabs on each side by using a small putty knife and rotating it out. Take the light housing cover out by removing the screws and the locking tabs. Disconnect the wiring harness by using the locking tabs. Pull the assembly out. Take the bulbs out and turn the assembly over - remove the wiring and light sockets by using the screws and locking tabs. Install the new part by reversing this procedure.
I hope this helps.

Bottom freezer light is working... refrigerator door light not working. is there 2 light switches?? up and bottom??
For model number LFC25760ST
Hi Sonia,
Thank you for your question. Yes, there would be a separate light switch for your freezer, and one for your refrigerator. I have linked the part down below for you. Good luck with your repair.
This is a Kenmore product. The refrigerator lights blink briefly, then go out when the door is opened. The bulbs are good, and the two temperature LEDs go on and off as expected. I've read previous posts where you have recommended replacing the double Socket Assembly first. Is that because you suspect that the inline thermostat may be bad?
I'm just trying to pin down the root cause here, before I order a Socket Assembly or a Control Board (I'm not worried about being wrong with a $13.47 switch).
For model number 795.76202.901
Hi Philip,
Thank you for your question. If the lights go out as soon as the door is opened, the issue is likely the door switch. We have included a link that you may reference on how to check the door switch. If the door switch is fine, there are some other parts that are listed that you may check as well. Once you have determined the part you need, please feel free to call customer service. We are open 7 days a week and anyone will be happy to assist you. We look forward to hearing from you!
lIGHTS WOULD NOT TURN ON, NOW THE LIGHTS WONT SHUT OFF!
For model number LFC25760ST
Hello Raymond, thank you for your inquiry. For proper troubleshooting, please check the filament of the light first and also check its condition using a multimeter. If it is faulty, you will need to replace it. Now check the terminals of the light socket and make sure they are not damaged. Prior to doing that, please turn off the refrigerator. If you find the terminals discolored or damaged you will have to replace the light socket with part number PS3529355. If the light socket and light are fine then the refrigerator door switch (part number: PS3529268) is the culprit as it is the controller of the interior light of the refrigerator and takes the opening and closing of the door as a signal. We hope this helps, good luck with this repair.

I need the 4 wire connector that is on the end of the light sockets that plugs into the door switch. I really don't want to pay $42 for the whole wiring assembly just for the connector.
For model number 795.76209.901
Hello Leo, Unfortunately the four wire connector is not sold separately from the Light Socket. I hope this helps.

Refrigerator light not turning off, left bulb burned out and the right bulb was extremely hot. We unscrewed the right one. The refrigerator and the freezer temperature reading are still lit. Is this a socket problem or a switch problem? What is the correct part number?
For model number LFC25760ST
Hi Ann,
Thank you for your question. If the light bulbs in the refrigerator are not turning off, you will need to check the bulbs, the light sockets and the door switches to see which part is causing the issue. We hope this helps! If you have any questions, please let us know.
