Dryer runs but does not heat up at all would this be the part?
For model number DLEX7177WM
Hi John, Thank you for the question. In most cases you can see physical damage to the element if it is burnt out. I suggest testing the element with a multi meter. You can also test the Thermostat , Part Number: PS3530481 and the Thermal fuse, Part Number: PS3530485 on the element fuse and the Thermister, Part Number: PS3529026 and the thermostat, Part Number: PS8747887 on the blower housing. In most cases one of these parts are defective. Hope this helps!
What should the ohm reading be for the heating element?
For model number LG DLE8377NM
Hello Amber, Thank you for your question. The heating element should be reading between 0-50 ohms of resistance. Hope this helps!

How can I tell if my heating element is bad before taking the dryer all apart? I have made sure that lint is not a problem. I have reset the breaker and made sure that full power is to the terminal block.
I have preformed the heat test by getting the code 1n5. As the test completes, the only code that shows up is no or n0.
For model number DLEX2801W
Hi Don,
Thank you for your question. You will need to test the part with a multi-meter. Disconnect your dryer from the power source and locate the heating element. Depending on your model, you may need to open your dryer’s cabinet to access the heating element. Remove the heating element from the dryer and visually inspect it for signs of damage or burning. Set your multi-meter to the Rx1 setting and touch the probes to element terminals to test for continuity. If you receive a reading of infinity, you need a replacement heating element. We hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day.
