The water dispenser has a very slow flow and the ice maker is not getting much water when it makes a batch of ice, so the cubes are very small. I have changed the filter and it did not fix the problem. Is the next likely solution to replace the water inlet valve assembly? I have also checked the water line supply from the wall and it is strong. It becomes weak in the refrigerator.
For model number 79558823900
Hello Chris, thank you for contacting us. That does sounds like it could be the inlet water valve. There is also a solenoid in the ice maker that controls the level of water to the ice maker to prevent over flowing. If that was faulty it could cause a similar issue. These can be tested with a multi meter. The solenoid is not replaceable in the ice maker on your model. If it does end up being that part you would need to replace the entire ice maker. Good luck with the repair!

I have a LG refrigerator model no. Lrsc26925tt. It doesn't dispense water or even make ice. It just stop dispensing water and not make ice. You can hear a humming sound when you try to dispense water. What could be wrong? Filter was replaced last november 2018. Thank you.
For model number LRSC26925TT
Hello Allen, thank you for your question. We would recommend testing the water valve. Here is a link that can help with testing that part. Locate your icemaker's water inlet valve, it is typically located behind a refrigerator. Gently pull your refrigerator away from the wall. You may want to place scraps of carpet, of some other soft material below the fridge to prevent damage to the floor. Turn of the water valve's water supply by closing the shut-off valve in the waterline leading to the water valve. Remove the lower access panel on the back of the refrigerator using a screwdriver or a nut driver.
Place a container under the valve to catch any water that may spill from the water valve and its fill tube. Remove the water valve's fill tubing. Loosen the flare nut on the brass fitting that is found on the inlet side of the water valve. You can use a wrench to loosen the flare nut.
Your water inlet valve is held in place on your refrigerator by means of a metal bracket. Use a screwdriver or a nutdriver to remove the screw that holds the water valve's bracket to the refrigerator cabinet. Gently pull the water valve out of the cabinet, and remove the tube from the outlet port.
There are two wires connecting to the terminals of your water inlet valve. If yours is a double solenoid water valve, it will have four wires. Be sure to label each wire so that you know where to reconnect them later. Firmly grasp the metal connector of the wires in order to remove the wires. You may need to use a pair of needle-nosed pliers. Do not pull on the wires themselves.
Set your multitester to the R X 1 ohms setting to test for continuity. Place each of the multitester's leads on a terminal. Your multitester should display a reading between 200 and 500 ohms. Closely examine your water inlet valve. The exact ohm resistance rating you should test for may be marked on the valve.
If the test you conduct with your icemaker water inlet valve does not produce these results, then you should replace the component. I hoep this helps!

I am getting water to the water dispenser but not to the ice maker. Would this part solve this issue?
For model number LRSC26925TT
Hi Steven,Thank you for the question. This does sounds like it could be the inlet water valve. You can test the parts with a Multi Meter. If there is 120 vac then the valve is bad and if there is not 120 vac then the icemaker would be the issue. Hope this helps!

My ice maker is working. The problem is the cylindrical water filter is not getting flow through it to activate it for water purification process. Can you please advise what could be causing this?
For model number LSC27950SB
Hello Raymond,
Thanks for your question. This is most likely due to a fault with the water inlet valve. You may want to test it with a multimeter for electrical continuity, and replace it if it shows no continuity.
I hope this helps.

Water to dispenser is good. Water to ice maker intermittent but mostly no water. I reset the ice maker several times. A few times the cube tray filled but after making ice it did not fill when it cycled. What do you think?
For model number LSC24971ST/100
Hi Dan, Thank you for the question. I suggest testing the Water Valve. The vales have two sides, one for the ice maker and one for the dispenser. The ice maker side may have become blocked. If this is the case the Water Valve will need to be replaced. Hope this helps!

Inlet water valve leaks. Whats the process to replaced it.

Hello Vincent, Thank you for the question. To remove the valve you will need to first Locate your icemaker's water inlet valve, it is typically located behind a refrigerator. Does this part fix slow water dispensing?
For model number LSC26905SSB
Hi Ron, thank you for your question. The first part to test would be your water inlet valve. The valve has two solenoids that control either the dispenser or the ice maker. Even if your dispenser is working the ice maker solenoid may not be and vise versa. The valve can be tested with a multi meter and should be reading between 500 - 1500 ohms of resistance. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

One of the plastic tubing lines to the water filter got cut. It looks like the tubing and the filter housing is built as a single unit with no way to simply replace the tubing. Is that correct or am i missing something? Thanks.
For model number LSC26905TT
Hello Stephen, thank you for your question. The tubing that goes into the filter housing is only available by ordering the housing assembly which is PartSelect Number PS10058932. I hope this helps.
