Washer pulsator was coming loose during wash cycle.
Since the old pulsator had actually come off during a wash cycle, I was able to place the new one on easily. Tightened the screw with a socket. Then placed the new cap on. Before placing the new pulsator on, I was able to clean all the mold and hard deposits off the mechanism under the pulsator. The hard deposits were also scrapped from

Part number: Ps3525704 how isdoes this part attach to my the drum in my washer? Is this pulsator cap what you see as you look into the drum of the washer in the center at the bottom. I want to make sure we are referencing the correct part. It's hard to tell by your diagram. Thanks!

Thank you for your inquiry. Yes this would be the part that you would see when you look int the drum of the washer in the bottom center. You should be able to set the part in the middle and snap it into place. To remove it use a flat head screw driver to lift it out. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Both the washplate and the cap are no longer in place. Does this part hold it in place? Several pins have broken off. Or could something else be wrong?

Our washer is leaving dark colored residue on our clothes. When i google, it suggests this part is cleaning the filter and i can’t find the filter. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hello Leigh, thank you for your question. Unfortunately, there is not filter in this unit. We would recommend checking the Part #: PS12588963 Pulsator/Wash Plate and the nut and washer under the wash plate to be sure they are secure and to see if the residue is coming from under there. If it is, the issue may be the tub seal or the transmission seal. I hope this helps.

I purchased my new washer only 2 months ago and this cap game apart an lying in the bottom of the washer, called they are sending me a new one. my question is how many times is this going to happen is just a plastic cap? Next cand I still use the washer while I am waiting for a part that failed afer only 2 months, not a satisfied customer.

You should still be able to use the washer but we would recommend putting something over the bolt as this part fits over the washplate mounting bolt and prevents clothes from getting caught on the washplate during a wash cycle.
