Loud noise on spin cycle, berrings went bad
Methodically, no hurry and it went smooth. Most difficult was removing old bearings and installing the new. Glad I had experience doing this. Would not recommend this as a first time experience replacing bearings. Replaced shocks in the process, glad we did, made a huge difference.

When it spinning it shakes a lot
For model number WM2688HNM
PartSelect logo
Hi Marcaisse, Thank you for your question. I would suggest you check your shock absorbers to see if they need replacing. You can tell if your shocks need replacing if you can very easily slip the metal tube out of the casing. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

How do I tell if my shocks are bad? My machine shakes and walks very badly in spin cycle. I pulled apart to check to see if spider was broken but it's not. Bearings feel fine.Shocks have some resistance but not sure what normal is.
For model number WM2487HWM

Hi Mike. They should have a lot of resistance. If they are easy to pull out of the casing or almost fall out they are bad. Thank you for your question and good luck with your repair!

I am interested in ordering part number ps3522313; however, before I do so, I was hoping to watch the instructional video for installation. I cannot seem to find the video anywhere. Can someone point me to it or send me a link?
For model number WM2233HW

Hello Jared, Thanks for your question. We do not have a video on our website for installing this part number. For written instructions: Unplug the appliance. Remove the top panel by unscrewing it. Pull out the detergent drawer, then remove the screws from the detergent drawer opening. Remove the control panel. Place it on top of the washer and disconnect the wires. Open the pump filter cover and unclip the drain hose, then remove the screw over the housing. Remove the filter housing, remove the screw at the bottom of the panel. Open the front door and pry off the outer clamp. Remove the boot seal. Reach inside and disconnect the door lock. Close the door and remove the screws at the front top panel. Remove the front panel. Press down on the tab for the locking mechanisms for the shock absorbers and remove the absorbers. Align the new shock absorbers in the holes. Use some liquid soap to help slide the locking pin back in. To replace the rear ones, remove the rear access panel. Use a wrench and pliers to remove the locking pins and shock absorbers. I hope this helps.
