Lint Filter Guide Cover Specifications

Located just inside the dryer door. The guide cover (or grill cover) is where the hot air circulates through the appliance. This part may crack or become damaged over time, causing clothes to get caught on it while it is in motion. Open the dryer door, remove the lint screen, and remove the screen using your screwdriver. Line up the new grill cover with the moisture sensor and the housing on either side, and it should snap into place. Once it is firmly in place, use your screwdriver to put the screws back in.

I need the replacement for the lint screen assembly housing. However, mine has a sensor that plugs in. None of the replacement models shown have the sensor plugs.

Doesn’t fit
The parts do not fit my dryer. The guide cover is about 1/4 in off. Screws don’t align with the holes. I can get one screw in but than Carly get the other one aligned. Lots of wasted time and frustration.

screen and filter need to be replaced
remove filter , unscrew old screen , clean old area and screw back screen and replace filter

The holder for the lint screen was removed to vacuum lint. It broke when turned on.
I found that the screws that hold it in were a bit too short. After several cleanings I re inserted the screen only to have it dislodge and break. I ordered a new part and after using a drift pin and lamp I found that the screws were too short and the threads needed to secure it were worn. Longer screws solved the problem.
