I returned from vacation to find the interior light of my refrigerator blinking like a strobe light on and off. The outside touch panel was showing 00 00 and blinking (no error msg). It would not dispense water or ice, and the refrigerator stopped working. Just replaced the front panel and the only thing I notice that is working is an interior top fan on left blowing air. The front panel is not lit up at all (ie no temps). Do I need a new mother board to fix this issue?

It doesn't dispense ice and the lights inside are very dim. From what i can find out, it looks like the main circuit board may be bad. How does one replace this board?
    For model number CFSP5RKBCSS
Hi Jim, Thank you for your question. Based on what you described, the issue could be the dispenser control board. There is a video on our website that you can reference on how to install the electronic control board. The refrigerator in the video may not show exactly like the one you have, but it will give you a general idea on how to install the part. You will find the video under part number WR55X129. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

We experienced a power outage. When the power cam back on the refrigerator stated doing very strange things.1) when i opened the french doors there wasn't a light on and the power cut from the entire unit. 2) when i unplugged the power cord from the wall outlet, waited a few seconds and plugged it back in it powered up again. opened the doors again and the same thing happened. 3) there was a loud buzzing noise and the smell of almost smoke and the power cord was warm to the touch and no power since then. i'm thinking it is a fried board but wanted to get an opinion. thank you, mike

Fridge has multiple symptoms, lights inside very dim, ice and water dispenser not working, ice maker not producing. Temps are holding both in fridge and freezer. Could this be a dc voltage problem in the mother board? Would replacing the mother board solve this?
    For model number PCGS1RKZHSS
Hi Mark, Thank you for your inquiry. Unfortunately testing a part like this can be pretty tricky. It sounds like it might be your board that is the problem, however I would recommend contacting a repair technician to come out and service your appliance as I would not be able to accurately tell you if that is the problem without testing the part. Good luck with your repair.

My refrigerator has been losing power off and on for several months. The fridge is plugged in and seems to only lose power for at most 15-20 before turning back on. Do you think i need a new control board?
    For model number PGSS5RKZHSS
Hello Shane, Thank you for your inquiry. You can test the control board to see if it is the issue, but also try checking the sensor, the inverter control for the compressor, and the condenser motor. You can test the parts with a multimeter. Hope this helps!

The refrigerator has no power at all but there is electricity in the cord going to the refrigerator. No lights, compressor, dispensar - nothing works - and it just stopped. What could the probblem be - maybe the control board?
    For model number PFCF1RKZA WW
Hi Rod, Thank you for your inquiry. If your refrigerator is not coming on at all, there are a few parts that you will need to check. You will need to check the temperature sensor, the dc condenser fan motor, the dispenser solenoid assembly, the inverter kit with jumpers, the water filter, and the electronic control board. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Our unit has quit cooling, both fridge and freezers. We had the mother board replaced a couple years ago because of the same problem, this fixed our ice maker that didn't work at the time also. The inside by the vent to the icemaker has turned brown, probably from heat. The air is warm when you feel it. We put a surge protector inline after the first mother board to help protect it. The door panel info center works fine as well as the lights inside. Could this be another mother board or something else.
    For model number PGSS5RKZHSS
Hi Ray, Thank you for your question. If the refrigerator and freezer are too warm, there are some parts that you will need to check to see which ones are causing the issue. You will need to check the temperature sensor, the inverter, the condenser fan motor and both the evaporator fan motor and fan blade. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

The refrigerator's power was continuously cycling power on and off
The first thing I did for this repair was call a repair guy to come out and fix it since I didn't want to deal with it. After the initial shock of the $617 estimate to replace the Main control board, I scraped myself off of the floor and proceeded to look up how much a new board would cost me. The part was $155.04 at this site Much cheaper than the $417.00 estimate for parts I received from the repair guy. I could see from the drawings that the control board was on the back of the unit with its own access panel. It took me about 2 min the remove all the screws holding the panel on and another 8 min to remove the connectors from the old board and plug them into the new board......and another 2 minutes to screw the panel back on. The labor estimate I got was $200.00. Which comes out to about $800 an hour for the repair guy to do this job. One thing to note: Be sure to ground your self when you are touching the new board. Static electricity from your body can short out the micro electronics on the board

Had multiple problems, inside lights were very dim, water dispenser did not work, ice dispense motor would not work. Freezer temp and fridge temp did maintain temp, but slow to cool if doors kept open too long.
Removed access panel to expose circuit board with nut driver. Pulled board out, it just snaps into place, unplug connectors and plugged onto new circuit board. All plugs are different so you can't mix them up. Snapped new board in place and re installed access panel. Make sure you unplug refrigerator before removing the access panel.

The ice maker, water/ice dispenser and refrigerator lights were not functional. Refrigerator and freezer were holding normal temperatures.
Shut off power to the appliance. Remove the 8 to 10 1/4in screws holding the main control board cover in place and remove the cover. Use a small screwdriver or pick to gently press in the latch on the 4 plastic clips that hold the board in place. One at a time remove and reinstall on the new board the electrical connectors, gently pull or the electrical connectors by the the plug do not pull the wires. Reinstall board onto the 4 clips and tuck wires so they will not get pinched. Reinstall main board cover and power the refrigerator.

        Main control board crapped out
Easy Squeezy . Not counting pulling the Refrigerator out and removing the cover ( which I had already done) I had the old control board out and new one in in 15 minutes. The squeeze mounting plugs were a little tricky but after that it was just a matter of getting the multiple plugs into the correct receptacles.
