Part was as described and worked
Part worked great. However paying the extra cost for 2 day shipping was a joke.
Part was to be delivered in 2 days.
It was shipped by FED EX.
The part never arrived here until 9 days from order date.
Totally not worth the extra money paid for shipping.
This company should use a different shipping provider.

Just the right part
When Googling a possible reason for our washer not spinning we came across a video that seemed to be exactly the issue we were having (lid latch assembly). I then Googled for the part and your site came up, I'm glad we selected it. The part came when it was promised and was a fairly easy fix, we did discover that we needed to re-set the machine; another words, we had to tip the machine to get to the bottom and disconnect the plug to the motor and then plug it back in again, this actually reset the whole machine and it's working better than ever.

right part for the job
Repair was easy, the only challenging part was unclipping the broken part from the machine. Fixed the issue and it works now.

Washer would not adgitate
I ordered a lid switch because the washer wouldn't agitate. Most reviews indicated that was the problem. While waiting for the part to arrive, I discovered the transmission to be of fault.I let parts select know that I no longer needed the part. Parts Select gave me an immediate refund no questions asked and before I returned the part to them. That is customer service!! I will use Parts Select for all my future purchases. I can trust a company that trusts its customers.

Washer would go into the cycle to rinse dry.
Replacing the part was fairly easy. However it did not resolve the problem. The spin cycle did not activate, leaving my washer full of water. We ordered another Maytag Washer. Hopefully this one doesn't break down for a long time.

Washer wouldn't start - Flashing Lid Light
I checked out the reviews and the recommendation of these "professionals", replaced the part easy enough when it came in. However, it didn't solve the problem. Got an actual professional to come in and see what the problem was, and they determined that gear oil was being leaked and it wasn't worth replacing.
Tried to get a refund and return the part. Was told absolutely not. The money back guarantee is a lie.

How do I bypass damaged lid lock switch for a temporary test?
For model number 100.20022012
Hi Ronald,
Thank you for your question. First and foremost disconnect your water and the power from your appliance before starting. Locate where your switch actually fits on to your appliance and place a magnet between them. Now there will be a magnetic connection between the lid switch and solenoid. After you do that, put the lid of the washer back on and turn on the appliance. If the appliance turns off, disconnect power once more and reposition the magnet. Caution. If you are at all uncomfortable with doing something like this, I would strongly suggest contacting a repair technician to come and help you. I hope this helps. Good luck with your repair.

I installed a new lid lock and the washer won't start, won't let water in and the lid lock button stays red all the time. What can i do?
For model number WTW5640XW0
Hi Rhonda,
Thank you for your question. You may have a faulty lid switch. I would check it with a multimeter to see if it is working correctly. Also, try unplugging the washer for 10 minutes and this may reset the washer and clear the flashing light. If this does not work, press and hold the cycle signla button for 20 seconds and this should reset the washer and clear the flashing light. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

When I push the start button on my washer the sensing light comes on, then the lid lock lights up. The lid lock light is blinking and making a clicking noise and not latching. The washer will not start. Can you help?
Hello Kristy,
Thanks for your question. This may be due to a defective lid lock/latch assembly. You could try testing the part with a multimeter to see if it has electrical continuity, and if it does not show continuity, replace it.
I hope this helps.

My Kenmore top loading washing machine doesn't always latch so that i have difficulty getting it to start and show the red lid locked indicator. There are two plastic prongs on the lid that go into a receptacle on the washing machine body.....don't know whether they are just worn or what....please advise.....thanks, Sandy

My washer will fill, agitate and drain but will not spin. The lid lock light flashes when it tries to advance to spin. Initially it would spin occasionally while in a wash cycle but now not at all. During test mode it would spin without a problem, however it has stopped during test mode as well. The lid will lock during the lid lock test. I replaced the shift actuator but it did not resolve the problem. I am getting error codes f7e1 and f7e7. Can you help?
For model number WTW4800BQ1
Hello Melanie,
Thanks for your question. The lid latch assembly is the most common reason why this issue would occur, and explains that error code. You may want to test the part with a multimeter and replace it if it shows no continuity.
I hope this helps.

Will this part fix the following problem: I push the start button, it sounds like the lid latches, the fill light comes on and then there is a pause. The latch then unlatches but fill light stays on?
For model number WTW4800XQ1
Hello Fay,
Thanks for your question. We would advise testing the machine in diagnostic mode to see if any error codes may help, but there are a few common parts we can recommend in this situation. The lid latch assembly should be tested with a multimeter to see if it has continuity. Replace it if it does not show continuity. You may also want to examine the shift actuator and agitator cogs to see if anything is damaged to prevent the machine from spinning. Look at the drive belt for any signs of damage as well.
I hope this helps.

My washer does not advance its cycles i have to manually move the knob to the next cycle. Example washer fills then seems like it is going through the cycles but does not go through so i move knob to rinse and spin the move knob to final spin. Now it is not agitating at all so it fills drains and spins but t=does not agitate. How de we diagnose what it is that is wrong?
For model number RTW4640YQ1
Hello Debbie, thank you for your question. I would recommend checking the lid switch first. Remove power from the appliance and check the switch for continuity with a multi-meter. If the lid switch has continuity then you will need to look at the rest of the motor circuit including the electronic control board part number W10484681. I hope this helps!
