I'm looking at your part number ps3495223 outer oven door and glass. Just verifying that this comes with the glass already attached to the outer door panel ? So i would need to attach the handle and then screw it back on the to oven door - correct ?

Can i order just the glass? Does the glass have lines or a grid? the lower oven has lines

Checking the picture it is hard to see if the glass has lines, but if you are able to provide the model number to the unit, we will be happy to verify the correct part number. I am looking for part wp4452211 (door outer glass for my kitchen aide model kehc309jbl05 microwave. It looks like the glass is discontinued but can I use this part to replace the entire door? Or is their another option?

The oven door was removed and later dropped. This has caused the stainless door to be dented and the inside glass panel to shatter. The serial # xp5110506. Please send me the correct part #. I believe it to be ps3495223. Will the glass be the same. This is for a customer, not sure what the glass looked like before it was removed.

What is position of the 2 brackets that hold the handle. There is a raised part on the bracket. Does it go up or down. Thank you.

The outer glass panel of my microwave (model kemc308kss03) shattered into thousands of pieces for no obvious reason. I plan to order a new door from you, but I wanted to ask if there could be an underlying problem that could have caused this to happen. The door still closes but I noticed that the left side seems to be lower than the right side. Could that have caused the glass to break? Even if that's a separate problem, what part would I need to order to help align the door better so that it's more level? Thank you so much for your help.

Hello Danielle, Thank you for the question. I would suggest replacing the hinges to have the door level. PartSelect Number: PS11747291 and PS11747292. If it was unlevel enough to put strain on the glass, it could cause it to shatter. Hope this helps!

Glass on outer door cracked
Unfortunately, you must replace the whole door. It was only a matter of removing 6 screws but sliding the door back on was a little tricky. Still, it beat calling a repair man and the item came in 3 business days. The part fit exactly right.

Oven door shattered after performing a selfclean system.
The repair was pretty simple. I removed the old door front from the oven door, there were only 4 screws to remove. I then removed the handle off the old door and placed it onto the new door front. Finally, I placed the new door front over the oven door lining up the srew holes and screwed them in. I would recommend attaching the bottom plates first to make sure the oven door front and oven door are flush at the bottom.

Glass shattered in oven door outer panel when I was tightening oven door handle. Suspect years of use had weakened the glass.
Unlock door hinge locks. Rmv door from oven by orienting to a 45 degree angle and slightly lifting up and out. Rmv outer Stainless Steel panel from oven door that has the broken glass. Rmv handle. Install new handle on outer door panel but don't over tighten. Place panel on oven door and install screws. When reinstalling door back on oven try to orient door at a 45 degree angle sliding in till you feel a slight bump. Try but don't force the door to the full open position and slide door latch locks back in place. Check the Kitchen-Aid website for better door rmv and install instructions.
