By the diagram I thought I ordered the sensor that measures the bottom of the microwave being overheated by the stove below. The needed sensor is a normally open switch mounted behind the control panel on the bottom of the microwave. (as shown on the diagram) The switch received is a normally closed switch that is mounted at the top and opposite end of the microwave. A different website listed the part as WB21X10045?

the TCO is a temperature fuze on the side of the exhaust outlet. When the exhaust registers too high a heat temperature the fuze blows and stops the entire unit from working.
I replaced the TCO (fuze) through the vent opening after removing the vent cover and several small panels with a screw driver for visible access.. Some of the screws require a small offset screwdriver because of the limited access. I did not have to drop the unit from the wall over the range and was able to access through the vent openi

The TCO is wired in-line with the power and other fuses to the unit and when it fails the enitire unit is cold with no power to lights or function of any kind. The GE service rep. said that the unit needed a new smart board but that was not the problem and they are no longer made for the older unit. I discovered the repair by looking at YouTube for repairs for the GE Advantium 120 microwave/convection combo unit.

Remove microwave and set on flat surface. Remove all screws on top. Remove all screws around back edge holding top on. Finally remove the screws on botton holding top on and remove top. ... Read moreck plastic air deflector held by two screws & is mounted in front & on the right, it is shown on the parts list just above part #1434. After removing it, remove the two silver cover screws in the front, this cover also doesn't have a part # but is shown to the right of part #1410. At this point you can lift this cover enough to access the fuse which is on the left & held in place by one tiny screw through the clamp at the top, (careful not to drop it when removing). PS: Don't forget to cut the power to the microwave before starting!

Original part was fried
Had to remove microwave from the wall. Then disassemble entire top assembly to get to the part. Easy enough to replace after that. Then just reassemble and reinstall. About 2hrs. total

Oven shut down when TCO (thermostat) detected overheat. Once cutoff, it has to be replaced not reset.
The spacesaver is mounted over the stovetop. I removed the oven, then removed all the screws from the cover. Removed the cover and located the TCO and removed the wiring and the TCO. Ordered the part VIA internet and replaced it . It helps a little that I was Radar tec. and taught Electronics for 10 years and repaired lots of Microwaves

I just replaced part wb21x10148 thermal fuse because the microwave would not heat but it would run. Now with fuse replaced the vent fan runs on high when the unit is plugged in stating it senses high heat and will turn off automatically. Will replacing the thermostat resolve this issue?

One of the thermostats was toasted where the plastic around the terminal connector melted. Main Fuse is good still have lights and clock. Installed new N\C thermal fuse and Installed new control board but still no heat nor is the table turning.

One of the connections of the one thermostat PS3491479/WB20X10048 that is outside the magnetron has melted plastic/black heat damage to the plastic connector part of the wire. I'm definitely buying a replacement thermostat, what I'm wondering is if there is a corresponding plastic clip that can be crimped to the white wire that's damaged if I cut off the end part and recrimp it? (Trying to avoid buying a whole new wiring harness or taking apart the whole unit.)
