Simple repair.
Fuse was fine, however blew again after a few days of use. Most likely other issue with the microwave.

Fairly easy repair
We only used the microwave for a week after replacing the fuse and it blew out again after spending $50. Definitely not worth the price.

Do i have to remove this microwave entirely from the cabinet cavity in order to check and replace the fuse?
For model number JVM3160DF2BB
Hello Jim, Thank you for your inquiry. You probably will have to as this fuse is towards the back of the microwave for this model. Hope this helps!

No power. Plugged it into a different outlet still no power.
For model number JVM3160RF2SS
Hi Gevon, Thank you for the question. I suggest replacing the Fuse, PartSelect Number: PS3486694. To get to the fuse, remove the outer cabinet of the unit, which is usually held in place with a few screws. Once the outer cabinet is removed, follow the power cord into the unit. It will take you to the fuse holder, where the fuse sits. The fuse holder is located two or three inches into the unit, and may be attached to a power board. Hope this helps!

No power to microwave--circuit breaker and plug outlet are working. What are my options? should I replace the thermal fuse and where is it located?
For model number JVM3160DF1WW
Hello Andrew, Thank you for the question. The most common issue is the Fuse. When the fuse blows it cuts power off to the appliance. Thank you for your inquiry, good luck with this repair!

Fuse in diagram #119 shows as a 6 volt fuse and is printed on the fuse and frame of this GE microwave is this correct? The old fuse was blown after i tested it so i'm headed in the right direction though, the part fuse number doesn't refer to it being a 6 volt fuse.
For model number JVM3160DF3WW
Hello Barry, thank you for your question. This fuse, part number WB27X11138, is the correct replacement fuse for your specific unit. It doesn't reference that its 6 volt, but its an exact replacement of what you originally had in the unit. I hope this helps!

The microwave wouldn't turn on, so i replaced the fuse and it continues to blow the fuse. What should i do next ? It takes about a day for the microwave to blow the fuse
For model number RVM5160DH1BB
Hello Mateo, thank you for your question. Malfunctioning interlock switches or a badly misaligned door can cause the fuses to blow. It's also possible the microwave's cooling fan may have failed, leading to overheating and melting the element in the fuse. We would recommend testing/replacing the door switches and the cooling fan to be sure they are functioning. I hope this helps!
