Great Part
The part was great, although there are no instructions. Installation was not difficult. Would like to even have an idea as to where to find the assembly instructions.

We noticed a chip in our glass top …
On Thanksgiving day, we noticed a chip on the outer aspect of our glass top. The next day we saved ourselves $4200.00 by finding the replacement top at Parts Select, which we never would have imagined they’d have in stock! We ordered it, then paid a fellow (who came on a Sunday morning), to put it in. Total cost of repair to fix an otherw

Is the replacement of this cooktop installable by a skilled diy person?
For model number KESS907SSS06
Hi Jay,
Thank you for your inquiry. Yes, you should be able to replace the cooktop yourself. Before you begin any repair please unplug the appliance from the electrical outlet or turn the circuit breaker off. For this job you should only need a Phillips screw driver. First open the oven door. Using the screw driver, use the Phillips head screw driver to remove screws, one on each side, that hold the cooktop in place. Close the oven door. Lift the cooktop up and slide it to one side in order to release its rear hinge from the mounting bracket. Using the Phillips head screw driver take out the screws on both sides of the cooktop and remove the hinges from the brackets. Install the hinges on the new cooktop. Place the new cooktop assembly hinge into the opening on the side mounting bracket. Slide it into the opposite mounting bracket check to see if it is properly installed and lower the cooktop. Secure the cooktop with the 2 mounting screws and close the oven door. Restore the power to the oven and everything should work now for you. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!
