This part is located behind the control panel. It helps determine the level of water in the washer. As the water fills the hose, while tub is filling, it will push the air against a diaphragm inside the switch. More water that enters the tub, more pressure is applied against the switch.

Knob broke off load size indicator. It was getting almost impossible to turn . Washer wasn’t filling correctly.
Removed 2 screws on backside of control panel. I gave old part a quarter turn and it came right off . Took existing hose and attached to new part . Replaced screws and ran through a wash cycle, worked perfectly, like it originally did . Simple repair. Only issue was the shipping, but not On PartSelect part. Could have been an overnig

Is this the water level fill switch? The knob has been difficult to turn to select size of load. Now, it's stuck on small load. If i force the knob i believe i'll break it off. Thanks.
For model number 110.27612600
Hello Rick, thank you for your question. Yes, this is the water level pressure switch that sits behind the control panel, and controls the water level in the tub. If the switch will not turn with little force, you should replace the switch before the knob breaks as well. Good luck with your repair.

Water does not shut off, overfilled and flooded room
For model number CG1019436
Hello Helen, thank you for writing. This is likely due to either a faulty Water Inlet Valve, or Pressure Switch, but we will need the model number for your washer to locate the correct replacements parts for it. CG1019436 is not recognized as a model number. Here is a link to some tips on our website for locating the model number on your washer. https://www.partselect.com/Find-Your-Washer-Model-Number.aspx. We look forward to hearing back from you!

Water does not shut off when filling at any size load. Water does not stop filling when unplugging the washer. While the washer is filling and i shut the water supply off and then turn it back on the water doesn't resume filling as it already has plenty of water in it. Guessing it is water inlet valve? Or, what other causes could it be?
For model number ntw4500vq1
Hello Jeff, Thank you for the question. This would normally be an indication the Valve PartSelect Number: PS11748963 will need to be replaced. Hope this helps!
My water level switch works except that the settings are out of sinc. The switch was stuck at one time and when I forced it, it must have bent the knob shaft. Now I have to hold the knob manually in between the level settings until the water fills. Example, if I put the setting on super water level, it only fills to the level that is lower. Can I fix the switch myself?
For model number WTW5500SQ0
Hi Jack,
Thank you for your question. If the shaft on the water level switch is bent, you will need to replace the switch. You should be able to do the repair yourself. There are installation instructions listed with the part on our website that you may reference. We hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

My washer will start filling with water, but is not filling tub. Going strait out of drain hose.
For model number MTW572TQ0
Hello Kathy, thank you for your question. There are a few parts we would recommend testing to determine the issue. You could test the pressure switch, water valve, and drain pump. I hope this helps!

Why do I have play with the water switch to get water to come in
For model number Ntw4500VQ1
Hello Alvin, Thank you for the question. It sounds like the switch could be defective and need to be replaced or the wiring may be loose. If the wiring is good a new switch might be needed. Thank you for your inquiry, good luck with this repair!
